I taught this song to students while I was at university as a mentor, its such a great song for people to sing if they really want to work on the complex emotional changes in a scene or a number in a short ampunt of time. She starts off Jubilant, knowing shes engaged and shes ready to celebrate it with the world, then she has to keep it together whike her special moment is turned to a discussion about the "Wicked Witch" who happens to still be her best friend! Then after her argument with Fiyero it starts to dawn on her that as happy as she is, about everything - becoming a public figure, being engaged to her dream man its not enough, because the one person she always imagined would be there by her side, is no longer there. It really puts your creative mind to work and places you right in Glinda's shoes. Everyone cries at For Good, but THIS is the one that gets me every time!
