Distance control is KEY in this fight! If Katie sticks to her plan and PLAYS IT SAFE being discipline, she may have a paved way to a clear victory, but if Katie decides to trade and please the fans (given the expectation of this historical rematch), then Amanda may have way more chances and the outcome is up for grabs. I tend to think given Katie's experience in their 1st fight as well as in her rematches with Cameron and Persoon that she may go for a safer victory, but we'll see... In many ways this fight is comparable to Bivol-Beterbiev as I see it. Enjoy the fight!

The BIG DIFFERENCE between Clarissa Shields' accomplishments and Taylo's & Serrano's is that in the weight classes Clarissa competed there is WAY LESS TALENT and CHALLENGING OPPONENTS than the weights classes in wich Katie and Amanda competed, given the huge average of women are way smaller than Clarissa. I'm not disregarding her talent and accomplishments at all but it's a FACT that the opposition Katie and Amanda have been facing in their careers has NO COMPARISON WHATSOEVER to Clarissa's IF WE WANT TO BE FAIR, so I think we can't put all of them in one bag to determine a P4P list (if that "List/Ranking" makes any sense... not to me though).

I can't agree more with BOXINGWAVE's breakdown and his assessment of their first fight and the rematch uploaded recently (recommendable). I'd only add to his thoughts that regardless of whether Katie Taylor deserved the nod or not in their 1st fight (I believe she did and it''s even more clear to me every time I see the fight ), WHAT IS UNDENIABLE IS THE FACT SHE IS TAKING CHALLENGES giving Serrano a rematch (she could have said: "I already beat you, let's move on") as well as when she dicided to face Cameron twice in two extremely tough fights. That is A FACT as well as her CLASSY BEHAVIOUR: AN EXAMPLARY ROLE MODEL CHAMPION'S ATTITUDE! May the best fighter win!

Katie actually won the first fight 6 - 4. The more l watch the more it is clearer. Good breakdown as always. l have Katie winning clearer because she will adjust better as she does better in rematches

I disagree with the 6-4 Taylor scorecard (Will rewatch again) but I do think Taylor does well in rematches. I thought Persoon beat Taylor in the 1st fight but Taylor did better in the rematch.

It happen to me the same thing... I saw a more even fight at first than now. I've seen the fight like 5 times and strictly focusing on scoring I gave Amanda the 5th (and I scored it a 10--8 round), the 6th (still competitive) and the 12th (competitive) : 96-93 like the 3rd judge

I definitely think 12 3-min. rounds are the best to showcase their abilities, and also to score the fights. I do not think there is any physical problem for women to stand 3 minute rounds properly given their punches are not hard compared to men, and you can see that clearly on the lower KO percentage in women's boxing. But having said that, I do not agree on suddenly change the statu quo and make this rematch a 12 3-min round fight to please one side, because it may be more advantageous for only one fighter (Amanda). If the change is to happen, I think it should be for ALL FIGHTERS and be set a day in the future when this change is to start taking place.

I agree that this rematch should be 10 round 2 minute. Same arrangement as their first fight.

@@WhatsGoodWoog I REALLY THINK 12 3-min-round women's fights should be way easier to score and showcase their talent much better BUT fighters build teir styles, skills and training to a certain amount of rounds, round length, gloves size, ring dimensions, etc. So any major change (like 12 3 min rounds) should GIVE ENOUGH TIME to fighters to PREPARE AND ADJUST so that the change would not be used to favor certain fighters...

Definitely Skye Nicolson's style is a big challenge for Amanda, and the fact that she''s not even mentioned by the Puerto Rican after the many times Skye called her out publicly to unify titles says it all... I'm not a fan of Skye's style but definitely that footwork is a puzzle.

Skye’s fights often get boring because the opponent can hardly lay a glove on her. I think Serrano looks at the risk / reward in fighting Skye like Canelo looks at Benavidez or Jon Jones looks at Tom Aspinall. But I still wanna see all 3 fights!
