Good review. I never saw this on sale. I've been checking for years. Too bad. They 100% have lost their advantage-because the other sleep monitors have now caught up in accuracy--and have great apps. I'm actually glad. My device cost $129 and really is able to tell me if I am getting quality deep/REM sleep or not-and has a great easy app to use.

Great review! Can’t wait to see your NuCalm review with this. Have you thought about retrying other devices such as biomat, Apollo Neuro etc... using this to see feedback? Also, just curious: did you ever get the Hapbee?
@katie_moore4 жыл бұрын
Oh yeah I'm actively experimenting with all of that! many more videos to come! I'll give you a sneak peak ;) LOVE the Nucalm. It's incredible. Hapbee was very underwhelming. I didn't get much from the device. I will definitely be retesting the Biomat and apollo neuro to look for more conclusive sleep data.

We should do a mass movement to Dreem turn back it to the ordinary market, being sell for common people. I can't pay for a subscription but can make a huge effort to buy this device just at once. Loving you channel and your lifestyle. Cheers from 🇧🇷

Out of all those sleep assist options what makes the biggest difference? Red light? Lions mane?
@katie_moore4 жыл бұрын
Meditation, Blue Blockers, and sauna have had the biggest difference. Besides Melatonin I haven't really seen any powerful sleep supplements that are universal. The reason to get a dreem headband is so that you can test for yourself and see what makes a difference for you!
@jskweres24 жыл бұрын

I have the Oura ring but this looks nice, you think it would interfere with a Airtouch N20 Nasal mask I have to wear at night? I would definitely get this if I can wear both without issue of mask interference as leakage is most important with CPAP.

I seem to fall asleep quickly, but can't stay asleep.. waking up every hour, then unable to fall back asleep after a couple times of this. So, I'm interested in not so much sleep-tracking, but a device to to help jump-start sleeping. For example, is it possible to use this while laying down? Any thoughts on how the Dreem2 compares to other brain stimulating devices (electric or magnetic) for inducing sleep.. like the NeoRhythm, Hapbee ,Cove, Muse S (Gen2), EarthPulse v6 Sleep-On-Command System or the SEDONA Pro PLUS+? NuCalm? My primary goal is to sleep thru the night (sleep-maintenance), but would also like to try 40hz gamma brain stimulation during the day, as I've heard it might be help with focus / brain-cleanup (see Radiolab's Bringing Gamma Back episode!). Can the Dreem2 do this?

Hi Katie. Have you tried sleeping with a grounding mat? I have one, and it knocks me out so cold I only use it when I’m super hyper. Not sure if you have done Grounding Mats or Grounding Pillow videos, but there’s an idea😇

I sleep with a grounding mat every night! I was never able to get any of my devices to quantify an effect but now that I have the dreem 2 I may try another experiment! Thanks for the idea!!

An alarm that works in your lightest sleep stage is something that I have been wishing would exist for a while. Getting woken up during deep sleep sucks.... Just found out they aren't selling to consumers. Knew it was too good to be true lol
@JohnEnduro3 жыл бұрын
It's pretty much impossible to get woken up during deep sleep, as this stage occurs only during the first half of the night. In the morning you can awoken either in light or REM sleep, the latter having the consequence of maybe remembering what you were dreaming at that point, without feeling groggy as it would happen if it were in deep sleep. I recommend you watch The Quantified Scientist's channel where he compares different sleep tracking devices to a scientific sleep monitor.

If you had to choose between the Dreem2 vs the Apollo Neuro, what would you pick?
@katie_moore4 жыл бұрын
Dreem 2 if you goal is understanding and tracking sleep. Apollo if your goal is focus or stress management, or sleep onset. the devices don't really overlap in what they offer you.

@SteveHazel4 жыл бұрын
wow. i dunno if i wanna spend 500 but i prob will but not till after christmas. i don't care bout the fitbit, but if you could do a shooort video with more oura versus dreem comparison, that'd be super cool. so it looks like oura is really as "just a guesstimate" as they say - overestimating light sleep and not getting deep right half the time. ah well. i'm also not sure i can handle that dang thing on my head every night. do you really wear it every night? or only when you need that detailed of data and generally fall back to your oura? great video.
@katie_moore4 жыл бұрын
Thanks Stephen! You're correct. Oura is doing a lot more guesswork. Long term I will not be wearing the Dreem 2 every night. However I will be wearing it a lot when I'm testing products or trying new biohacks that might impact my sleep. I have been very surprised by how little it bothers me while I sleep. If you can sleep comfortably with an eye mask I would guess this won't be a problem for you. I will definitely dive into a more detailed compare contrast of the oura and dreem in a future video! And yeah, when not wearing the dreem I still sleep with my oura because.. why not? even if the REM and Deep stats are not super accurate, the data is still insightful for macro trends and data over time. trends on bed time, wake up time, temperature, and total sleep are very precise and it's useful to be able to look back at a much larger set of data. Is it excessive to wear the dreem, oura and fitbit? yes! But this is what I do :P
