I’m back with 3 more easy and minimal DIY air dry clay projects! I’ve been creating so many unique pieces lately using air dry clay, so I wanted to share a few of my favorites with you. I made a marbled clay candle holder, a clay bud vase, and another really cute candle holder with a handle. Air dry clay is such a fun and easy material to work with, and I hope this video will inspire you to try it out!

You can totally can do these with oven bake clay! The candle holders in particular would be pretty much the same process. The wavy one would be interesting to see how polymer clay holds the shape..but I think you could do it!

You can paint with Gesso first, then you only need one layer of colored paint. The Gesso seals the clay.

Do you find that the paint peels off the clay once it’s dry? I have use the crayola air dry clay and I painted and sealed it with spray sealant and the paint peeled right off once it was dry!

@@KatieBookser I used arteza acrylic paint, I’m wondering if maybe I didn’t let my clay dry enough before going in to paint it? I waited a whole day and it looked dry though!

@@alisha3769 Hm that's a good question! I'm actually wondering if it might have been the sealant. It should be the opposite, but that's the only thing I can think of.
