This is absolutely true :) in fact the word for glitter/sparkling is キラ キラ or "kira kira" so it's slightly different

It's funny how you're currently reading the death note black editions because a few days ago I started rereading the first volume to finally continue on with the rest of the series. I stopped after volume 2 of the black editions because I couldn't get a hold of the last 3 volumes due to their popularity so I held off reading the 3rd volume. I 100% agree with you about the misogynistic comments made in volume 1 because I felt eww about it too. I actually found with my reread that I was able to understand Kira and L's big brain energy more the second time around as I was so confused reading it the first time. I also find that I need to take breaks between volumes, not that it's too dark but my brain just doesn't run on the same IQ level as Kira so it takes me twice as long to understand what Kira just did lol. Haha you made me laugh when you said you didn't understand how people could listen to you on 2x speed but that's literally how I started with watching you and now we're all the way down at 1.5x.
