The problem is about a third of the voting population aren't staunchly in one camp or the other. There is literally no reason to stick with Biden, other than the fact that he's currently refusing to step down. He was losing by massive percentages before the debate. He's deeply unpopular. This is a golden opportunity to switch him with a younger, more appealing candidate - a candidate with the mental cognition to directly refute Trump on his lives, and the energy to actually campaign normally. (Biden has the fewest amount of press conferences since Reagan.) As it is now, millions of registered voters will just sit this one out. We have a chance to pave our way to the future, rather than sticking with one person out of "loyalty." "Blue MAGA" is going to be the death of this party.

As a Canadian who is not eligible to vote, I would urge the media to concentrate on Trump’s lack of morals, lack of character, age, criminal record and obvious cognitive decline. Explain the impact of the latest Supreme Court decisions and the worrisome Project 2025!

That’s the issue. Biden literally has lost the cognitive capacity to make sound judgments, and that is a HUGE reason why someone is elected to the Office in the first place. So ironically his inability to self assess makes him by default not sound in judgment and unfit to serve another 4 years. Look, I get it, we’ll vote for Biden’s head in a jar before Trump. But it’s the voters on the fence that will decide this, and they will heavily weigh Joe’s competence and not consider Trump to be the threat to our Constitutional Republic that he is. No President with a 36% approval rating has ever won. So more than likely he can’t win, and if he can’t win, we need him to step down so someone that can win will.

If Biden is replaced by another democratic candidate, your family will still vote for that candidate. And independent voters who have now seen that Biden is too old and weak to function as a president might switch their votes from Trump to that democratic candidate who is not Biden. I don’t believe the independents will vote for Trump. They don’t want a liar and a convicted felon. And why not Biden? He has done more in his presidency than any other president since the 60s. trying to kick Biden out is a rush to judgment. Yes, he’s old but I don’t think he’s senile. And I don’t think a doctor has made that statement either.
