Katie, you are brilliant!!! First, your motivation pushed me to ride 10,000 miles last year, can’t yet do your super rides but your young legs, compared to my 68 year old legs might be part of it But now Saddle worn out (how stupid I feel) as soon as you said it and bum hurting like it should not the Light 💡 bulb went off I have way over 10k miles on it of course it is warn out, feels like a buck not a chair Thank you again

Also, why did I just spend £600 on a Garmin 1040 solar if they are just going to replace it so soon with the 1050? Best of luck mate. K

Don't worry you made the right choice - no way would i trade a 1040 solar for a 1050 - you'd have to be a lunatic to do so re battery. I do a lot of long remote rides, multi day, no way would i downgrade to a 1050. It would be the same as swopping a fenix 7x SS for an apple pro, shiny bright screen's aren't great when they wont turn on as battery dead.
