Beat The House Dumpling Challenge Record, Win $3,000NT!

For my first challenge in the lovely country of Taiwan, I stopped in to attempt the Siew Mai Dumpling Eating Record Challenge at 基隆帶筋肉羹 in Keelung City, Taiwan! Challengers have 30 minutes to eat a minimum of 30 dumplings in order to earn their $360NT meal for free and a spot up on the Wall of Fame.. BUT! If you beat the current record, you can also win $3,000NT!

Competitive eating is still something I feel ambivalent about, but folks like Katina and Randy (and Man Vs Food back in the day) make it...more palatable. Love that they highlight businesses and cuisines in the process.

Those looked delicious, they use oyster sauce, and shrimp and chicken or pork. They also have a sweet soy sauce to dip in, or soup. Congratulations on your win , have a good week and count your blessings amen.

When I lived in Hawaii, I used to get 4 shumai at the local 7-11 on my way home from work (yes, 7-11 Hawaii has amazing snacks)! I would also get a cold somen salad and je stuffed. I can't imagine eating 30 of these. Great job!
