The spot you call cook inlet is off cook inlet but actually called Chinitna Bay, lots of bears right now. Destination Alaska does an awesome tour out of Homer for it.

@7:57 there's a second wolf partially obscurred by the trees behind and to the left of the wolf in the field.

You’re right. I think there were a total of 3 wolves but only one really showed itself.

Great video! I was curious about the plane that you took to the parks. I have a fear of edges - standing on a tall bridge and looking down or looking over a tall deck without a railing. These sea planes seem like they would be ok but do you know anything about this?

I think if you don’t mind flying in general, the Lake Clark Air planes are not too bad.

GPs won't get this but the Park Battle series seems very similar to the Coaster Battle by Coaster Studios!

I did battles on my theme park channel in a similar style well after he stopped. While these are still battles, they don’t go off of a scoring system.

So what do you consider the top 5 national parks?
@NationalParkWild
@NationalParkWild 2 жыл бұрын
Here is my ranking: 5. Katmai. Stunning mountain scenery and the bear viewing is incredible. 4. Lake Clark- The mountains, glaciers, lakes, and wildlife were unbelievable and Tanalian Mountain is a phenomenal hike. 3. Glacier- Highline Trail is probably my favorite hike in the world and I’ve had special experiences in Glacier with mind-blowing mountains and wildlife. 2. Denali- The mountain on a clear day is he most amazing site in any national park and there are stellar hikes and wildlife here. 1. Yellowstone- There is simply so much to see and do. Any site at Yellowstone could carry an entire park in my opinion and the wildlife beats all parks below it. These 5 parks are all perfect, so ranking them is tough, but that is my top 5. Also, you may have noticed that mountains and wildlife are my favorite things to see in parks. Thanks for watching!

@@NationalParkWild You know what national Park IMO just has stunning scenery that few talk about. North Cascades National Park. It also doesn't have even close the number of visitors of these other parks which is a plus(I like solitude) So what about wrangell saint elias national park? The scenery wasn't as spectacular as Denali and Lake Clark? How about Gates of the arctic . I have another question. When you go into this National Parks how often you go into the backcountry for backpacking?

@@thewestfaceofdhaulagiri6697 North Cascades is beautiful, though I have not seen enough of it to give a very fair assessment. Wrangell is my next favorite Alaska park, but there is a huge gap between it and the rest of Alaska in my rankings. It has incredible hikes with stunning glaciers and mountains, but it just wasn’t quite up there with my favorite parks. Like many parks, it’s great but I prefer others. I don’t backpack often, only once in a while, as I am still very young and inexperienced. However, I do a lot of long day hikes in parks.

@@NationalParkWild I haven't been able to get to Alaska but the National Park's I've seen are North cascades Olympic Crater Lake Yosemite Kings Canyon Sequoia Glacier Grand Teton Yellowstone Some of those I just passed through but having said that I thought North cascades was the most beautiful followed closely by Glacier and Kings Canyon then Olympic. and . Glacier and Kings Canyon were a long time ago(espeically glacier). Kings Canyon has probably slipped in terms of scenery given all the drought years and problems with wild fires. I find the scenery at Kings Canyon superior to yosmite because its at a higher elevation and more alpine. I think Yosmite is the most overrated National Park I've seen in large part because it gets a lot of traffic. Having said that there are still nice spots within Yosmite that get far less traffic like the northern parts near the border of Emigrant Wilderness. For me beautiful scencery is highly correlated with heavy precipitation. The heavier the precipition the thicker the forests, heavier snowpacks make the mountains more beautuful, more runnoff means more waterfalls, cascades and rivers.
