As a fellow Etsy shop owner, I have to agree that the worldwide shipping situation has changed soooo much since the pandemic began a year ago. We used to be able to dropship internationally with really affordable shipping costs and everything arrived safely. Then we had $15,000 USD worth of refunds we had to give out in the spring of 2020 due to shipping issues from our manufacturers to the customers. Now most items come to us from our manufacturers in big weekly shipments we have to manually break up, repackage, and ship out to our domestic customers which takes hours with a team of 2 (my hubby and me). The upside is we get to upgrade the packaging. :D We are only just now slowly starting to offer international shipping to some countries again, but the shipping is SO EXPENSIVE so we don't make a lot of international sales anymore.

Love the vlog! I suffer with back pain and got a proper ergonomic chair and it’s a game changer. Having a standing desk is really good but if you sit, I would recommend getting a proper chair (even though they won’t have such a cute design!)

Standing desks are bomb! I would suggest getting a fatigue mat to stand on - which can be hidden under the rug - but it makes a world of difference on the feet, ankles and lower back :)

These are all so well done. You should be so happy with what you can achieve. I also have a wind up desk from ikea and it is amazing to help with backache. Just a mention if your pain continues under your shoulder blade perhaps get checked for gallstones. I have them and the pain is in that spot after eating some types of fatty foods which I try to avoid so I can avoid the pain.

The blue candle is made from palm wax. It gives it a crystalised effect so nothing to be concerned about. I made my own candles for my crystal/candle shop and used sustainable palm wax and container soy wax. I miss the amazing scents!

Some illustrators prefer a pad type drawing tablet, because looking down on the screen hurts their neck and back. But the monitor position also matters, that standing desk thing looks amazing, I hope it will help you. Yup! I had to get a new thing for my iPad and normal tablet monitor because I messed up my neck and upper back bad. I had to see a chiropractor. I over did it, didn’t stretch enough or take breaks enough. It’s hard when you’re super focused and don’t want to break that.

@@KatnippStudios for the most part. It got to a point where I was in pain waking up and I could barely move my neck. I have some tenderness and tension on my upper back. It’s just hard because of how I’m used to drawing. I never had this issue, but the past few months I was really grinding out stuff and my body paid the price sigh. It’s hard to take breaks when I’m so focused and then I realize another hour went by. My chest gets tight too. I just have to be mindful and do these push and pull stretches against my door frame. I used to never have back and shoulder issues (minus minor whip lash in my neck), but I think it’s just an overuse injury that can’t properly heal because I’m always drawing lol.

I hope the standing desk helps! I get that pain too from being at my desk for so long. I think I get muscle knots that pinch my nerve which feels kinda like a weird tingly feeling. I had a standing desk at one of my previous jobs and it was nice for my back but then my feet/legs hurt instead. I hope you have more luck than I did there lol!

@@KatnippStudios I bought a refurbished herman miller aeron (bit spenny & not cute but I'll use it 5ever & I've draped a lush blanket over it) & all the shoulder & back pain i used to get from sitting on my desk all day has honestly vanished. I did a lot of research before buying so some good brands to look at are: Herman Miller & Humanscale. John Lewis, Ikea and Amazon have really good cheaper options too!! 💕

Absolutely, find a really good supportive chair and research DSE regulations. I know the regulation part wont apply but there is some really good stuff in there about types of chairs, height of monitor, how to set your desk up etc. Big businesses have to do risk assessments and DSE assessments for their staff on a regular basis so it has loads of great info.

you really need an ergonomic, gamer's or office chair. I know standing desks are all the trend now, but you need to sit, stand, or move alternately and do stretching exercises twice a day. I bet you won't be able to draw on the ipad standing up ('cos it feels weird, I've tried!) Ergonomic computer chairs don't tend to come in pastels tho'. You'd have to cover it in something. Check out Baylee Jae's chair, and her new cottagecore chair cover. The new backing cards are lovely. Can you build a granny flat in the backyard for your brother? Esp. if he paid half the cost and paid rent too, 'cos you could end up with a more expensive house and then he may move out... Over here you are allowed to build a relative some accommodation in your backyard under the council development rules. Actually a lot of people cheat, they build a cabin for a "relative", then just rent it out after it's too late for council to complain!

Here in the U.S. you can just pick up a new plug end and attach it to the open ended wires from the lamp. Fairly easy my mom and I replaced the plug after our cat decided to eat it.

One of those candles that looks, well, not great. Quickly run a lighter over the wax. Just on a test bit. You may find it heat polishes (i.e. melts a little of the wax) causing it to smooth. As for converting the light. Yes and No. If the case is metal, it HAS to be earthed to be compliant with the law. If the case is made of plastic, you don't need an earth, you just need the live and ground/neutral.
