He is not the composer of this song, but he rearranges it and revives it for a new life. You just bought a one-way ticket for the biggest vocal roller coaster ride in your life. Dimash is like a bullet with a shifted center. He enters through the ears and eyes, passes through the brain, pierce the heart and stuck into the soul. You even can't imagine what is capable to do Dimash with his voice. He is simple the greatest. The one and only on the planet. If you continue to react to him, you will soon become convinced of it. He is making some pretty 'extreme' music and breaking мusic impossibility and all rules with his unbelievable vocal techniques and his 6 octaves. His ability to mixes pop, rock, opera, rap, hip hop and r&b music, in his own unique way makes him a favorite singer to fans of any style of music. Dimash is a God of EXTREME VOCALS. He sings whatever he wants and the way he wants to. And he always slays. You will be blown away by the other his performances.

He pushed his way through fame, with that style , no one else would have been able to do this. the choice of songs he do, are peculiar and MANY MANY people don't like this kind of songs/music. Just 4byrs late but I’m still so glad that you started your Dimash journey with this version of this song. This performance launched him to superstar status in China. Many people don’t realize that Dimash had a long and accomplished career in Kazhakistan prior to this. But some background on this performance. This was early 2017 when Dimash appeared in the fifth season of Hunan Television's I Am a Singer (Chinese: 歌手2017), under the recommendation of director Hong Tao, and signed a contract with Black Gold Talent in Beijing. At 22, he was the youngest participant in the history of the show, and competed against professional and top-selling Chinese singers as a 'wildcard' competitor. Dimash's mother later said that he hoped to reach at least the middle stage of the competition. He won Episodes 1, 2 and 6, with his performances of "S.O.S d'un terrien en détresse", "Opera 2", and "Adagio". He made it to the finals, and finished as runner-up to Hong Kong singer Sandy Lam. It is rumored that the Chinese government would not allow a foreigner to win the competition. Dimash is the most complete voice in the history of music. Right now you haven’t seen anything, this is just the tip of the iceberg. If you keep listening to him you’ll realize why he’s the best. I’m not just saying it, experts from around the world agree there is not and there was no other voice. From an Italian man named Unico Unici, I leave you this reflection of what Dimash means in music: I have known Bel Canto [the Italian-originated vocal style that prevailed throughout most of Europe during the 18th and early 19th centuries] since I was born. (Dimash was trained in Bel Canto for many years.). Let’s make one thing clear: Dimash is not only good in this or that field, in this or that aspect of singing, Dimash is the sound field, Dimash is the totality. Katrinka, you hit a homerun by being introduced to the Mozart of our generation. Dimash chooses his music carefully. Many of the songs have backstories as you will discover he takes his hard work and gifts (he has admitted he has extra long vocal cords even though he is 6'3" tall. The CCP agents are currently on the watch given the pandemic they accidentally let loose (optimistic?) and the 2020 Singer competition going on so you have to pause the video regularly as you did here Dimash does not trust the US to try and tell him what to do therefore he is ignored by our music media for the most part, especially after he went on 2019 The World's Best and he withdrew after being the prohibitive favorite after 3 rounds when he discovered the producers lied to him. He turned down millions in prizes and endorsements because he does not sing for fame or glory except in his own words "to glorify God" per his own statements (I am not trying to push religion); thus he produces all his music and only trusts a few. I recommend if you review Opera 2 you either mirror it (not hard, just google if you don't know how) or play it black and white. The Gloria Wu Channel has all the back stories of his music. Be sure to watch them with subtitles also.

Lisa Roberts I actually have watched dozens of interviews of him (out of work for first time in life) and he has stated in response to why he hasn’t done much in the US he wants total production control and that is not likely to happen in the US. He won’t even let them tell him what to wear and that is his words. He recently stated he is looking at doing an internship in Los Angeles for his upper graduate degree. And the producers of The Worlds Best did lie to him. He told them up front he would not compete against children and then the show tried to spin it to make it look soft that his culture precluded him upon his discovery when they knew it up front. Daniyela surprised him when she told him she was competing against him in that round. I am a dear to nth degree but I call it carefully. His latest We Are One is terrific and important but Dimash’s Chinese team made it in such a way to try and make China look better than a politically savvy genius musician would like edit in such a way if he knew how China has acted regarding transparency of the CCP virus aka Covid-19. If you google articles on Dimash even last year there were expressed worries China would use Dimash as a propaganda tool. I am pulling for him to come to USA and conquer and not have to rely on China who pays him top dollar. Context is important. Don’t believe a lot of spin you read. I thought this out carefully and stand by my statements unless someone points out evidence otherwise. And thanks to Dimash for making isolation much more tolerable.

Welcome to the magic world of Dimash! He is was born in a family of professional singers and is indeed classically trained. He has been obsessed with singing since a very young age, so you are correct that behind this performance, there are thousands of hours of practice and experience, despite him being only 24 years old in this video. Dimash was offered a position at the Kazakh opera house, but he denied the position to go on his own way and lucky us, he did!! Many requests will probably flood the comments, but to me, the absolute must-see apart from SOS are "Sinful Passion" from Sochi and "Ogni Pietra" from his Arnau concert. Thank you for your analysis! Just for info, Dimash has a Vocal Range A2 - D8 (yes, D8 - Dimash has left the Piano)! Some say he can sing 6 Octaves and others say 7 Octaves. Dimash is unlike any singer/performer that you'll come across in your lifetime. His ability to sing any style of music (including Ukrainian Folk & Chinese Opera) to top professional standards is unparalleled. His vocal range (6+ octaves) his vocal flexibility (being able to sing ethnic music) is frankly incredible. Hi! For your information, SOS d'un terrien en détresse is a french song interpreted first by Daniel BALAVOINE for the musical Starmania in 78. It was written by luc PLAMANDON and composed by Michel BERGER especially for him. Dimash really gave justice to this really difficult song which is a classic in France.

This is actually a song from a French rock opera from 1978, this is Dimash's version which he calls Neo-Classical his definition of his style. Take a look at how far his mic is when he hits those sky high notes, that's some power to contrast that achingly vunerable breathy notes. 👋 I'm a Dear from Reno Nv 🇺🇸. I can listen to any of his songs a hundred times and each time I get the chills up and down my spine up to my scalp down to my toes. You've gotta do more I love watching you react to him. I told my husband if Dimash ever came here or near here I would kick him the kids and grandkids out for Dimash. They understand especially my 4 yr old granddaughter who loves Dimash also. Her favorite is "screaming" on IDOL hits. We love when he sings in english and his own language in the same song. 😃

Dimash tough to beat indeed. but good luck. Dimash named us HIS fan as Dears, so welcome to our tribe so to speak. Dimash's first debut to us was through The Singer series 2017 ((Chines show)) after that he sang Sinful passion this was the cover of the Ukraine band in this he was discovered by the Russian composer the one and only Igor Krutoy since than they were working to gather. Here is my suggestion for you since you can't watch The singer series (copyrights now)) there is at least sinful passion (The Love of Tired Swans, Love is Like a Dream, know, Mademoiselle Hyde, passion and Ogni Pietra , Dimash trio with Lara fabian and Aida Garifullina Ti Amo Cosi, and last but not least your love )) which all the work of the amazing Russian music composer Igor Krutoy.

So very awesome! A great reaction and do not feel alone on that last little bit, because I think I speak for most of us that we can just watch it over and over because it is just so crazy. A fairly recent one he did, which you may like is "Your Love." He does it so brilliantly and as always makes singing look like it is so easy. Dimash did not create the song SOS. The original singer /writer was Daniel Balavoine. Dimash did however write and sing Unforgettable Day and Screaming and I believe some others as well. Unforgettable day I think he wrote when he was still a teen.

I just found out today that Dimash's released ON HIS Channel, a new video mix of his new song ''WE ARE ONE' - the previous release was done by the production company in China (whose PEOPLE he loves) in support and love of all peoples during this virus crisis and the helpers, those who suffer, and those who are isolated... a little China oriented, but well done(the video part I mean) - Dimash is excellent of course... - HIS mix is much more whole Earth orientated and much more personal loving eye contact - It's lovely... Another extraordinary artist is a young girl, (I'm 70 yrs old, so everyone is young :) ) Please read up on her back story if you can find it - well... here it is in short... abused and abandoned by her disturbed mother, 3 yrs old? - didn't talk til about 4? yrs old then in the orphanage it was recommended that she take singing lessons to help her speech - which she was having some difficulties. Later adopted by one of her carers... entered some singing competitions - the one I'll link was on a 'The Voice' type show for kids without parental care called 'Super Kids' - she won two seasons. In this video she is 14 (she is 16 now, coming up to 17.)..
