Tony is a very very good kind loving actor, showing compassion for his Liv. I wonder why he never anything for his excellent performance, directing. And leadership in the show. He never treated others like he was Hollywood royalty. That is rare and I give cudos to the Goldwyn parents. Yes, Kerry was the main lead and he never overstepped her. He allowed her her dues. Thanks Shonda and all for entertaining all of us.

Fitz loves Olivia blindly. A love like that is v rare. He was prepared to give up the presidency, he forgave her for aborting their child. That's not to say she hasn't forgiven him for transgressions, too. But it seems so hard for Olivia to just let go, commit and try and love. ❤❤❤ Shonda should have let them have their happy ending. Remember her parents remember she has abandonment issues she don't have the right comprehension of love. Fitz was her first love and that scared the hell out of her. She wanted Vermont she wanted jam she wanted Olitz babies. As easy as that sounds she did not know how to embrace Fitz and appreciate him and she knew he deserved better that's why she walked away so many times.

@@faithwatkins7811 I don't fully agree with you that Liv didn't know how to fully embrace Fitz and appreciate him. I believe Olivia one and true love was Fitz despite she shared tender moments with Jake. I would say that one of the reasons she didn't want to fully commit to Fitz was because she knew that the public pressure could destroy what they have and that distraction will take away from work that Fitz as President needed to get done. Towards the end of his presidency she was telling him she wanted him to stay in Washington while she support Mellie as President. Then when he returned at 100 days, she went to her Dad and was diplomatically asking him if she can be a relationship and still serve effectively. That's because she wanted her Fitz. Credit to Shonda for such excellent writing and to them for their exemplary artistry.

A lot of people weren't happy with Olivia Pope in Season 7. It kinda reminded me of the season of Once Upon A Time, when Emma became the Dark One and almost lost her humanity. This is the season where I can sympathize with Olivia Pope's character on a personal level. She had been through so much with Fitz, Jake, her parents, being kidnapped, the list goes on... She didn't let it break her completely, but it was like she decided to switch off the emotions. Being part of the White House through all of it changed her, made her seem more cold-hearted, uncaring, and selfish. Getting B613 didn't help, it just fueled her need to push everyone away so that she could end up alone. Maybe she thought she deserved it. I think that it was her cry for help deep-down, and she was too proud to admit it. She was going through her dark time and losing her way. There are scenes where you really see how much Fitz loves her enough to remind her that the real Olivia is still there. Especially the scene when he was talking to her through the door about the first time they met. ❤️❤️❤️

The purpose of this Olivia is to show people what power will do to you if you let it. She was always a powerhouse but she didnt let it get to her head. She was an advocate for people helping people get a second chance. Fitz is her weakness the man she loves and he's the one that will bring her back to her old self. What her father said was her weakness is really her strength.

It did have a happy ending! Almost too happy IMO. I would have preferred if they had not cut the scene with Huck telling Liv the darkness was still in him, and her saying "me too." That, combined with the other cut scene of Huck going back to his old ways by torturing or killing Cyrus, would have left more ambiguity about whether Liv could truly ever be free of her demons, which I think would have been a better ending.

Remember she was taught that love is a weakness and that was her way of fighting him off. Her dad sent Jake to sleep with Olivia to come between Fitz and Olivia because their love was a distraction. Fitz was willing to give up the presidency for her and his marriage all those years prior but the people around him would lose their place in power and defiance would have been for nothing. She tried to walk away and be out of his life love him from afar but true real love couldn't keep them away from each other. Magnets soulmates
