Katt would not have signed up for an “interview” if an “interview” was what Katt wanted to do he wouldn’t have chosen Shannon’s platform. An “interviewer” directs and controls the conversation/ much like an interrogation, while a conversation is more organic. Conversations go where they go Interviews are much more likely to have an agenda. Shannon did a great job and accomplished the mission, to entertain and allow Katt speak his truth.

I still listen to and enjoy his music but I have separated the man and the music. We have all left R. Kelly alone because he is finally where he belongs now. you lost me on critiquing the way Shannon interview process went. His interview style was PERFECT for the guest he had and the engagement that was needed. We wanted and appreciated the storyteller in Katt, not a host (like your self) to direct and guide Katt on what he should be answering to. It's crazy how you cookie cutter personalities follow this 'path' of what is supposed to be instead of treating each interviewee as a separate unique experience. That's what ended up happening with Katt's interview. luckily shannon hasn't been dulled in his new role as host to craft and construct a narrative instead he was able to just let the magic happen. I like Mike, but sometimes these 'degreed' ppl are as dumb as a box of rocks.

The problem is alot of you trained journalist think you know too much and turn off your guess thinking you know their business better and try to outshine the guess on your program.
