Yes. I grow it very well in 9a. If a frost come in Nov.? I will chop to 1 foot from ground and lat it grow back again. My moringa survives very well in the same way. I was very happy when both types grew back. Hope for berries soon and drumsticks from moringa. Thanks.

Cool plant! Love the leaf structure. The flowers and fruit are very interesting. What direction is this in and how much sun does it need?

This one is an under-story plant (we have our growing under 3 cabbage palms, facing east). The leaves are delicious, but the flowers and fruit are our favorites!

Do you do anything different to it to get Berries? I get TONS of flowers, but never a berry. Mine are about 2 years old now and 7-8 feet tall with large woody trunks. I also have several the size of the smaller one you have with the berries, so I have no idea what I can do to get the flowers to turn into berries. All mine are clones, so maybe the one I have is a male only or something? Not that I mind too much, the greens are wonderful and the tender tops are the best. Thanks! 😀 Oh, and I'm Zone 9B close to 10A, except for the odd winter frost every 4 or 5 years. Few more years, I'll be a 10A for sure.

Honestly I have no idea why yours are not producing berries. My best guess (and I know its an obvious one) is that they are simply not getting pollinated. We have lots of plants that attract pollinators to our garden- the absolute best being the African Blue Basil. It sounds like your growing conditions are very similar to ours... Wish I had more advice for you!

Hey could you send me some katuk seeds?

I haven’t had the best luck shipping these seeds in the mail as they get pulverized in the mail sorter. Even when I say not to bend on the envelope the post office still runs it through. I purchased some cuttings on Etsy for about $10 and that’s how I started with all the plants I have. Cuttings are the best way to propagate and very easy if you can find

Oh gotcha! I have no clue how to ship seeds to Jamaica or what the rules are for that. I’m sorry

Ok cool, we don’t really ship plants or seeds. I’m sure you can find someone online who would sell you Katuk seeds. I ship seeds in free seed swaps but just around Florida. That’s when I failed at my attempt in trading katuk seeds. They all were crushed in the mail sorter.
