Their voices compliment each other because they provide different tones that created a nice rounded out sound. Katy is warmer and thicker, Kacey is brighter and more pointed. So good

LMAO at all these polarized comments about one of them supposedly being so much better than the other. Besides being able to stay on key (which both of them at least can with the help of accompaniment, judging by this performance) there's no objective definition of what makes someone a good singer. These ladies both can sing, and they just have different ways of going about it. Kacey has a pretty, clear voice but not much soul or power; Katy has a more unconventional tone and less control, but more power and grit to her voice. To each their own.

Please. It doesn’t matter if it is two girls, two guys, two bands, two groups or one guy vs girl or a transvestite vs. a Cis girl. Or even three or four different acts performing. They will always be compared to each other. Just for the record, Katy performance was better. Kacie is hotter, but she is younger. Katy is cuter and prettier. Kacie was the better singer on THIS song only. Every other video I seen Katy had better vocals and all around better performance.
