It's in a difference place at Amazon UK. From the home page click on 'Shop By Departmen't>'Books'>'Books' and under 'Browse Books', right at the bottom choose 'See All Books', then at the bottom there's a filter under 'Price' which allows you to choose books under £5.

I was in the dollar store and found hardcover books for $1.25 each, I bought 6 of them. I found books from Richelle Mead and also the first 2 books (His Fair Assassin series) by Robin LaFevers, I also found Control by Lydia Kang. So sometimes you can find great hardcover books from the dollar store too. I think they receive the overstock of some books.

I was thinking of buying beautiful disaster, and beautiful chaos after I saw this, but I had to search first about the story though it's fairly popular series, but something always pulls me back from buying it, but when I look up again there were not in bargain books section anymore so I search them...and it looks like the got all sold out haha and splendor now got up to $4.00 since it looks like it selling a lot... nice one Kat!

Back when I volunteered at the public library (6 million-ish books total) in a city of 300,000-ish people, they sold books that either weren't getting checked out (except for the last two copies of it) or were donated to the library. I paid the same price as the public, but got first dibs. Yeah.... they were 25 cents a piece, or 5 for a dollar. I got literally two dufflebags for 7-ish dollars. Then another two a couple of months later. 90% of the books on my shelves, I haven't read yet. Hahahah. Anyone jealous, yet? Shakespeare, poetttrrryyy, complete EAP, Drag Tat and the two sequels, Stephen King, The Fountainhead, Paul Auster, two copies of Wuthering Heights accidentally, a Spanish copy of the second book of Fifty Shades of Grey, and so, so, many, many more!!! -- my biggest regret is that I dropped the position and never got to buy the copy of The Hunger Games first book in my bin.... horrible library copy defiled with people's grubby little paws, sure, but a quarter!!! This Spring when I have more time, I AM GETTING THAT VOLUNTEER POSITION BACK. It was whenever I want, as long as I want. So I went in 1-2 a week for a few hours. My own hours, inconsistent, once a month, once a week, whatever. Yeah, life is good. :)

nope I actually find it more cheaper buying books from amazon because their prices are much cheaper rather than any book store (i.e. barnes and noble since they follow the publisher's price) . they were more expensive compare to the third sellers but just a little bit and you'll find how much cheaper they are once you combine the third seller's shipping and the inconvenience of waiting. at least if you have prime you can shop anytime and you'll just wait 2 days from getting your book.

The UK store doesn't have a bargain books section, but you can usually find them used in good condition for quite cheap.

I volunteer at Friends with the Phoenix Library and they have a warehouse dedicated to these books on Amazon so you probably got some from us:)

Maybe you should check out Better World Books. It takes a while for stuff to ship, but it's a used book website that donates a book every time you buy a book, and shipping is completely free for stuff shipped from their warehouse. I got The Rotter's Club, When You Are Engulfed in Flames, The Screwtape Letters, The Rejection Collection, and Alanna the First Adventure for just under twenty dollars. The last two and the second one were hardback and all in good shape. =]

I just go to Ollie's Bargain Outlet or to those certain areas in Barnes and Nobles for cheap books. Ollie's has better bargain books than Barnes and Nobles though, at least in my city. I got around 13 books for around 40, and most were hardcover and looked brand new.
