Miss Peregrine's Home For Peculiar Children!!! I was just walking around my library one day and i looked at the new arrivals and there it sat, it seemed like an angelic choir was playing on the loudspeakers, i instantly fell in love with it, from the moment his grandpa died to the very last scenes were the children are leaving the house to stay with one of Miss Peregrine's friends!!! (i hope that didn't spoil anything!) my favorite scene was when Jacob and Emma kissed in the water by the boat!!!

I'd recommend reading all the books first and then watching the show. There's just too much that you're at risk of spoiling accidently for yourself by watching and reading together and the books had far more suspense and impact in my opinion so definitely start there!

The HBO show Game of Thrones just makes you want to read the books even more! Maybe watch the first season before you get started. It follows the first book very closely but its also very motivational in pushing you through the longness of the books. In my experience the on screen version is more electric and compelling and it will get you hooked faster than the books will. Once your a fan of the show reading the books will be a breeze! :)

You could read A Game of Thrones and then watch the first season or if you have problems keeping track of all the characters you could watch and read kind of simultaneously? The show works as a visual aid sometimes. In the end it's really about how much spoilers affect you. The first season it's pretty close to the books, but in season 2 they start to take a few more liberties with characters, plots and timelines.

The first season of Game of Thrones is aligns only to the first book in a Song of Ice and Fire (plus things added to make it sexier). The second season of the show aligns almost as well to the second book. After that things start getting mixed up a lot more. This will be even more true in the future seasons, as the first half of the 5th book describes things happening simultaneously with the events of the 4th book.

not entirely true. Season 3 is the first half of the third book, and season 4 is the second half (they used to be 2 separate books), but the show doesn't strictly follow the books. for some characters, the story jumps ahead. my advice to anyone still new to the show and the books who wants to do both, read the books first. all of them, then go watch the show.

Similar situation, I'm just getting into Game of Thrones too. I read the first book about a week ago then I watched all of season one right after, which was a mistake for me because my emotions were still too raw. It made me a little crazy knowing what happens while watching the show(who betrays who and that). For A Clash of Kings I'm reading and watching the show at the same time. There is a lot less screaming at the TV now that I don't know whats happening too far ahead.
@BigDaddyZakk42011 жыл бұрын
The show GOT pretty much goes one season per book; so far at least. So the best way to go about it would be to read book one, then watch the first season, and so on and so forth. Hope that helps : ) Awesome video by the way, keep it up ! Also, do you read mainly fantasy or what ? It sort of seems like it, from this video at least. If you enjoy really great beatnik era authors and are up for a challenge, give William Burroughs' Naked Lunch a go sometime. One of my favorite books of all time.
