It's great to see a KZbin woodworker make a jig, tool, piece of furniture or other thing according to som other KZbinr's plans and confirm that that plan works well. This video is more valuable for that than the value in demonstrating how to make and use a box-joint jig. Thanks! I haven't tried making dovetails - I know, I know, I really should. But I've made some nice boxes with a box-joint jig that I copied from one of the woodworking magazines before Jonathan published his plans and video.

I don't think so. I know there is a way to do finger joints with just a blade though.
