This is pretty nice, one key detail that went unmentioned here in my opinion, is that Tyler likes to detune a lot of his synths to have a more analog feeling, like for Igor's theme, the main bass and synths are tuned 30cents down from the actual note.

Its genuinely so fascinating and interesting watching you break down and analyse some of yours, and so many’s favourite artists and how you are personally inspired in your own creation directly by their compositional habits and techniques. This video is incredible, insanely insight thank you, subbed. Tyler is LITERALLY a genius. I also just noticed a second ago that Igor’s theme is mix of all the songs on the album- he uses snippets of each song and put them all into Igor’s Theme- with his sexy ass

tyler has been using vintage breaks since 2010, Wolf specifically has lots of lo fi vintage breaks, before that he mostly used synthesized midi drum kits that is built in the DAW kind of like Pharrell with that midi style

When/ how many bars would you recommend introducing another countermelody?

it’s different for every song, but a good starting point might point to the second half after the chorus has repeated once or so or whenever the song starts to feel too predictable. it’s also not a necessary.
