The one thing I was thinking that I don't believe has been mentioned yet, if Madrid do come in for a bid again this summer but Mbappe wants to stay to get his full contract and huge bonus, will that irk Madrid to the point where they just say screw this guy? Considering they already have been rebuffed multiple times in the past. Would that be his last chance to join Madrid? While you would think Real would be fine with just letting the contract go down and getting him for free, they may feel the need to replace Benzema now. They may also not want to run the risk of Mbappe going to the EPL (or even accept some astronomical bid from a Saudi club or something) as a free agent next summer. So I could see a case where Madrid may come in for a bid now to secure his services, and I could see a case where the player turns them down again. Ultimately I do believe he ends up in Madrid either this summer or next, but I do think it's possible that something else happens

How can they sell him if he doesn’t wanna sign the new contract with who they sell him to. PSG don’t have any power. He is entitled to do as he wishes. Or am I missing something?

They can't sell him to whoever they like without him agreeing to it, that's true. However, they could threaten to bench him for a whole year or play him at centre back and fine him whenever he goes out of position which might make him more willing to negotiate. Perhaps give him the choice of extending his contract for a year and sell this summer to RM for an agreed release clause, or sit on the bench for a year. PSG have a bit of power to increase the fee they'd get, but they're certainly not going to keep him past next summer.

They really can't do anything other than whine and hope he changes his mind. He has all the cards. Once a player is happy to see out his contract, the club has no power. It is players trying to break their Contract that Clubs can muscle around

@@diranshouse7061 Mbappe would probably rather stay match fit than rot in the reserves though. PSG haven't said that explicitly, but it is an option for them. Helps them build a team without a wantaway ego too.
