I'm in Adelaide Australia and so I bought my CA901 locally and absolutely love it. Had it about 3 months and still learning all the features, sounds, options and ... well everything. It is an amazing instrument and worth every cent of the $7,000 AU I spent. Thank you Kawai and thank you Graham Blackledge for your marvellous and enthusiastic demonstration.

I spent hours trying CA901, Novus 5S and Novus 10S before buying. Among the three instruments, Novus 5S really stunned me with the authenticity of the sound from the speaker system and the real acoustic keyboard. Finally, I decided to buy CA901 because it has Kawai SK Ex Competition piano sound which N5S did not have. CA 901's keyboard action is also great, close to Novus. The price gap between two models is really significant.

Are you still happy with it? I bought a brand new Kawai GL40 a few months ago but living in an apartment I’ve had bad luck with the neighbor over us. I’m considering the CA701 (same sound engine and accrual as the CA901) and the CA901 for silent practice. My local dealer was able to offer me the CA901 for the price of the CA701 or the CA701 for under four grand. I would probably go with the CA701 as I would mostly use it with headphones. Would the action be comparable to my Kawai Grand? Thank you

I love the review. Especially because it is recorded with speaker sound. People pay extra for the speaker sounds of console DP yet everyone records the line out sounds.

Great demo. Should be getting mine delivered in 3 weeks. Went to try it on and was blown away .. better than an upright !

i love the sound of this, but I'm no pianist. I love the smart features of the Yamaha P-S500 and think that would be more beneficial to me, but then my heart is yearning for the Kawai Ca901 or Ca701. I'm going to Bolton next month and may pop round and get some expert advice.

Are keys light or heavy
