2007 Brute Force 750, no spark. Ignitor problem?

I had a similar problem with spark on front cylinder but none in the rear. Took all the plastic off and went through most of these steps. In the end it turned out to be dirty connectors on the ignition coil for the rear cylinder. I had previously spent hours dicking around trying to get it running. Thanks for the video, I was minutes away from rolling it into the yard and setting it on fire.

Had same issue one spark, replaced down sensor and fixed it

I just checked my spark plug coils with my Fluke 116 set on OHMs "auto". My primaryreadings are 0.2. Secondary readings with spark plug end removed are 4.47 ohms which are within specs. With the primary being out of range @ 0.2 ohms is it safe to assume they're no good and need to be replaced?

service book says to set scale to 1k it should make a difference for the primary reading

Hey there! Hope youre still around and can comment a suggestion. My 07 has 0.000 resistance with my multimeter on the coil connectors. Has one spark on rear and weak sparks on front cyl.. thoughts? Edit: new to me bike, has dyna cdi installed.

nice video men. I am having a similar problem. Sometimes the electric ignition and headlights don't work on my brute. Dash light works and brake light too. Today i tap the igniter and it firep up immediately. The solutions to this problem was to reset the belt light.

You lucky it can still work. Its a expensive part. BTW, I did try hitting it. Thats my first go to thing to do.

it ran on one cylinder?. hmmmm, my ignitior would not even do that. maybe move the plug, then wire,then coil. that will show you if the problem goes to the front cylinder

Im working on the same unit I had to change the flywheel is it possible if the keyway falls out I would loose spark

Hmm, I don't think so. The crankcase sensor should sent the signal for correct spark timing.

New igniter didn't work, thats shitty. You will have to go through your wiring harness and make sure there is no breaks in the wires.. Can you confirm you get voltage at the coils? These Brutes can sometimes be a devil to fix.

If you are referring to the buss connecters in the wiring harness holder brutes need to be taken apart and soldered together there are KZbin videos for this if you have not done it should be a square connecter wrapped up tape from factory in the harness. It can give you all sorts of electrical gremlins

.09-.1 and your getting .7 that is not in the range of .09 to .1 its 7x higher if that matters which maybe it doesn't
