6:03 I did the same with a bike I have been working on; but the problem I am facing now is that the whole head has been left on the bench unprotected and got covered in grinding dust ... so I am concerned that there will be debris in the water passages and in the valve guides. Any input on how best to clean the whole head before reassembly ? Parts washer and just flush the ever living fuck out of it and hope for the best ? Small nylon brush (like a bottle cleaner or rifle cleaning rod) for cleaning inside valve guides, or would that just result in scoring etc ?

Wash the whole thing down a couple of times in the parts washer and you should be good. Gravity is your friend. Blow air through the valve guides and you'll be good. Don't push anything down the valve guides
