Kawasaki klx 140L walkaround

2008 Kawasaki klx 140L , Aftermarket parts: Pro Tapper mini high bars, Pro Tapper bar mounts, KX 100 Tripple clamps, KX 100 forks, new springs and seals done by BUMPSTIKS, UFO fork guards, ONE industries fork guard graphics (dunlop), Renthall gold chain, Pro Tapper grips, grip dougunts, bar pad, 2 Brothers Racing full exhaguast system ( slip on plus header) and pipe guard, jetted it and took the boot off the air box, Valley Kawasaki front fender stickers, and, Dunlop MX 51 tires front and back.

Yes it adds power, and it's loud, if you take the arrestor out it's even louder. But keep it in.

@crazywalkthroughguy it was close to 800 just for the suspention and i even bought all of the stuff off of E Bay....but the expencive thing is to send off the shocks and get them worked on

@windyfieldsfarm I am 5'2" and just reach. They do make the KLX140. Smaller tires. Instead of 16 rear and 19 front ... it is 14 rear and 17 front. I would get the KLX140L if you can at least reach with one foot. Bigger tires go over rocks better. Swing arm is longer too on the KLX140L. Hope that helps.

@godsbassgirl I bought the bike with the pipe grard on it and it doesn't have a brand name on it. And we bought all of the suspention off of E-Bay, and it's around $700 for everything (we had tons of work did to the suspention) because the klx140L is way heiver than the kx100 so u'd need heiver springs!.......(oh and just sayn the kx100 and kx85 forks are the Exact same thing!)

@godsbassgirl trust me u would want the 140l. I ride this bike in the video because its my brothers, and im like 5'4". My knees are slightly bent and im a little more than flat footed sitting on it. dont get the small wheel!

e bay, forks were $100 and the rear shock was $90 off a 2001 kx100 (kx85 use the same suspention)

I bought the bike used in 2009 for 1,800. And it was all stock....havn't added up all the money I spent on it so far but it's a lot.

yea but my dad had to fabricate a custon bracket to hold on the light button and choke......and my dad also pollished the tripple clamps........................if you have any more question's i'll be happy to answer them

I've never measured it, but you can't use the kickstand anymore after you put on the suspention, so we took it off. But i'd guess it adds like 3 or so inches to the height of the bike.

The 2 brothers pipe (the 1 I got) is nice and recommend it to anyone, but look at Pro Circut and FMF.....there all better than stock.

Hey, umm I have no clue about the mini low bars, but if you think you are growing a lot get the mini high, i'm 6 foot 2 and love the mini high bars, but they are way differnt from the stock bars and It took me a week or so to get used to them. But overall there extremely strong (i've wrecked a lot with them and they never got bent), btw you need the oversized mounts to use these bars.

No, the stock forks use a rubber boot

Thank you for your response, and I noticed you use KX100 forks. With KX100 forks, I suppose you have to buy all new brake setup for the front, and also new clamps. Or are those parts compatible?

DigitalDinosours For the full conversion you need kx100/kx85 forks, triple clamps, front break system, kx100 rear shock. The only thing stock you can use is the front wheel. (you need to put stiffer springs in the forks and rear shock since the 140 is heavier than the kx100.

You have NO clue what your talking about dude! and WTF I've been racing this bike for a while, that's why I got numbers on it, and I bent my stock handlebars in half so I had to get new 1's.
