Nice video. It popped up in my feed probably because I also own a KLX 300. Our bikes are similarly set up. I am on the west coast but love seeing videos from the Ozarks as well as other states. Very beautiful. I look forward to more of your adventures out there.

The KLX really does seem to fit the bill. Stands up nice, has a good sound and you must be comfortable or knowing you, you would have said something by now. Hope you enjoy the bike. This video had some very nice scenery, and looked to be a good trip for you, John. RIDE SAFE OUT THERE!

Cool video. I also live in the ozarks. It’s really nice over that way. I have to say them blues are nasty! I dig it. I have a himalayan and a Harley. Been riding over fifty years and still love it.

Thanks for sharing your ride. Looks like beautiful country. I agree that horseshoe bend looked like it would make a great camping spot. I think you made a good choice with the Kawasaki 👍

I’ve taken that Jack’s Fork road many times-the brown and rainbow trout taste extra sweet there. Nice day to have it all to yourself!

Great little show. Almost makes me wish I didn't sell the DR for my HD..... almost. That said, I think a little KLX is the next one to add to the fleet. Thanks for sharing, great countryside.

@@ozarksbackroads5484 not at all. Thanks for the work. Your channel is very similar to mine..... Well.... I'm quite crude on mine but your doing exactly what I like to do. Ride. Show the bike. Show the area. Just be. Take people on an adventure. I enjoyed yours quite a bit actually. Sold my DR and Vulcan to upgrade to my Harley..... I simply had to have one. Get it out of my system. But.... What u did there ... Well sir..... Once this HD is paid for I'll be going right back to having that as well as the cruiser. Thanks for the show. I also..... Like to talk about old churches and show off things from the area that matter to local people. Problem is I haven't done enough of it to show. I will. U have inspired me sir. 😁 Great job. Thanks!

Another great video, Jon. I'm guessing you trailered to the parking area by Alley Springs, rode off to the east from there? I'm also guessing that'd be a long haul from the WH/Q riding that 300. One of these years I need to load up my XR650 and head out your way, meet up with you for a ride like this. Keep up the good work, ole boy!

Hey there Richard, actually I rode over from the WHQ on this one... it's about an hour and 15 minutes ride to Eminence from here. Look forward to seeing you again soon.... thanks for watching... :)

Good morning. Great to see this notification this morning. Always enjoy the content. Saw some videos yesterday on the new Ibex 450 coming later this year. What are your thoughts on it?
@ozarksbackroads548411 ай бұрын
Hello there sir, good to hear from you... The Ibex 450 looks like it will be a nice small adventure bike.. more comfortable than a dual sport but less feature packed than the Ibex 800T. I think it will sell like hot cakes world wide... not sure how well it will do in the states however... we here in the USA tend to go with the larger displacement bikes for long haul touring but I hope it does well enough for CFMOTO to keep it in the US market...
@donaldmarcella132911 ай бұрын
Jon I like your new KLX. I'm surprised you didn't pick up the new CF Moto 450.
@ozarksbackroads548411 ай бұрын
good to hear from you sir, the Ibex 450 will not be available here in the US this season. The Ibex 450 is really just a small adventure bike not a dual sport bike.. It is heavier than a dual sport and does not have the suspension travel or ground clearance for the more off road stuff. I would like to get a good look at one of them when they get here for sure... thanks for watching... :)

I can't decide between KLR650 and the KLX300. I am new to dirt bikes. I have only used quads. I live on the edge of my city and we have access to lots of 2 track, single track trails and fire roads. I told my wife I wouldn't ride on the roads or highway much so I would like to keep my word. At my dealer the 650 is actually less expensive than the 300 because its a 2023 leftover. Would love your opinion. Just looking to get out a few hours on days off.
@ozarksbackroads548410 ай бұрын
Good to hear from you sir... the KLR is much heavier than the KLX and not as off road friendly. If you aren't going to be riding on the highways the KLX is probably the better choice. But the heart wants what the heart wants... either way I think you will be quite happy... thanks for watching... :)

The only thing keeping me away from bying this bike is the LACK of aftermarket oversized gas tank, that little IMS tank doesn't count.

You talk about the cost of aftermarket parts. Really a disappointment that you need to spend all of that money after buying a new bike. I know that there are some things like tires that each person might have a different preference on. Can’t please the majority of people offering it on all bikes. However, who doesn’t like a nice comfortable seat? There should be no problem putting on a seat that pleases most people. Skid plate. Put a good one on, and no one will complain. Crash bars. Who doesn’t want good protection? Barkbusters! Especially on beginner bikes. Common sense. They can put that stuff on for probably half of what you pay aftermarket, and I would be happy to pay more up front.
