Video posted 5 years ago and super helpful today in 2023. Excellent job explaining how to break down this carb and rebuild/clean it. And explaining how they function and in my case, possibly why it leeks. Looking forward to getting into this guy again and hopefully 3rd time will do the trick! Appreciate you and the info!

I wished I watched this video before rebuilding my kz440 carb. I didn’t know those slides were supposed to move with air lol. Guess it’s time to take it back off

Great video thanks! I have a Kawasaki Z400 Custom, but the carb looks pretty similar, do you happen to know where to get a hold of those O-rings? One on mine is busted

Also, sometimes the float pin is pinched on one end at the factory and will only slide out one way. Look closely at both ends before you try to slide it out.

Got a 75 KZ400 and mine doesn’t look exactly like that but the people before me messed with it and never put all the part back in and I’m struggling to figure out what’s missing

I found a pdf version of my 80 kz440 B online that lists everything very well. You can probably find something online for the 400

Watching this trying to get the four screws out with pliers and he says “make it hard for the next guy” thing and I just go “yea tell me about it”

Take his 'advice' with a grain of salt. He does not know what he is doing let alone know what a JIS screw driver is. Prying on the rubber diaphragm? Try pushing the slide out. ......

Looking forward to your video on how to do this Nebr Rex. I'll keep an eye out on your channel. Was hoping somebody like you would show up so i can see how it is done to perfection.
