I'll stick with my 83 VF 750 Magna thanks. It gets about 50 mpg , 20 kpl,. Plus I own it so I don't have to worry about going into debt. I agree with you as at this time the only electric bike I would have is a pushy. At least with one of those you can peddle it when the battery goes flat.

Yeah not my cup of tea either as said at the beginning of the vid it was just a bit of fun although the battery can't go flat as it's a hybrid

I share your opinion about electric bikes. I don’t get the electric car thing either, some do and good for them. Our daughter is buying a Tesla but I will not be giving up my Hemi Challenger anytime soon. Glad to see new video and hear you are back to work.

Just checked Kawasaki website. Claimed 227 kg & 4l per 100km consumption sport ( normal ) mode, 14l tank. Whoopee doo, my 04 Tiger uses 4.8l per 100km cruising av 100kph. 215 dry & 24l tank. Also the performance on tap makes this junior K a commuter. Or have I misunderstood something.

Its a Kawa, so it's gonna be comfy... they always are. It's a Kawa, so it's gonna have a good (petrol engine) exhaust note... nearly all do. BUT, as far as the rest is concerned, I don't see the sense in making a Hybrid motorbike, and I don't think many other Brands do either, otherwise the market would be flooded with them! Maybe other brands have done a little more research into the subject, and decided against a waste of resources? I'm also not sure as to which segment of the market this bike is aiming at. It's certainly nothing that would ever find it's way into my garage. I'd rather give up biking altogether than have one of these.... amen!

I think 99% of motorcyclists wouldn't want one, myself included, but if your wanting new motorcycles in the future this is what there will be available. Not sure if it's from 2035 or 2050 but sooner or later ICE bikes will not be available new. Personally, I will be keeping my petrol bikes but for new riders this is what they've got to look forward to. I don't think that the manufacturers really want to put the money into developing this type of powerplant but with current legislation this is going to happen. At least Kawasaki are starting develop the technology now so it will be better when it they have to stop producing ICE bikes. I applaud them for a first attempt. With more experience building them the better they will become. It's not like they have a choice.
@TinsonTour2 ай бұрын
Yeah agreed it's just a marketing example of what they could achieve ... tbf with a bit of a re think they could of made a better go of this 1 , to me it's seems like it's been designed by car engineers not bike engineers
@russcattell955i2 ай бұрын
Who cares ( except manufacturers ) if we cannot buy a new ICE bike. Bike museums are full of exhibits that are in working condition. From the dawn of biking to modern collectables. We will keep what we have. It will be brave, death wish officials telling Hells Angels they gotta ride electric scoots.

Having had my little rant about such a stupid and insulting bike to the real biking world, let's talk about something else..., it's good to see you back here again... ToT has been missed of late on my screen! Let's hope your pinky stump is coping with life, and you're leading a more or less normal life again! I hope you are having a warmish and sunny Indian summer, as we are having here, and work allows you to get out and enjoy the beautiful autumn colours, that nature is slowly conjuring up for us all to enjoy, during our, what for me is, end-of-season riding- Was amusing to see you sitting on the bike at Millenium, looking around and contemplating... I wonder what was going on in your mind then? Well take care, have fun and, see ya again soon? PS. bloody good dealership, is Millenium and the staff..., and the Cafe grub is Very Edible, no wonder you two are often there.

I suppose it's going to be the future. But for now, I don't think so. The country isn't geared up for EV vehicles. If they can design a battery that last a long time fair enough. Plus when the battery needs replacing it's costing the earth to replace.
