Yes, but that takes points off the touring factor. Either you have a bike that's comfortable on long roads of all sorts and altitudes or you don't. That makes a lot of sense. I think there's a ton of riders in the community (especially after their 20s are over) who still want to go fast, but also want to be able to get away from everything and not hate life... and then also gap that sports car on the highway, because we still bought a motorcycle to go fast. From a purely business decision, this seems pretty brilliant. I mean, what dude WOULDN'T want to be able to tell his friends he owns a supercharged motorcycle with 200hp?

Owning a bike isn't hard, as long as you go for a bike that's right for you and not what you think will get you brownie points with the local riders. And as for fun, a mechanically sound used Ninja 250 is 90% as fun as a new R1. Spending more don't buy happiness, it just makes you poorer.

@twotone34713 жыл бұрын
@@GilbertCarosinPhotography You were able to keep up because the Ninja 250 allowed you to learn the skills without killing you. Learning on a 600RR might be what people think they won't "Outgrow" but how many will not use the bike's acceleration as a crutch for poor cornering skills? Far better to learn how to corner fast early on in a rider's experiences than have a bike that you can "get on it" on the straightaways right off. I was lucky to run into "Twist of the Wrist" fairly early on when I was learning to ride. Still go back to it to check what bad habits I pick up now and then. The movie is pretty corny, but excellent for describing the basic mechanics of riding.

LoL... for sure that was hilarious but even on my Kawi I flip the Kawi dealer a town over Everytime I pass by... even do a little burn out through their parking lot on my Kawi from time to time... the owners, sales staff and parts folks are knobs beyond belief (the techs are awesome though!! A guy I know is a tech there and that's the only reason I was going to deal with these shit heels)... went in one day to order my ZX14R and I was looking at bit ratty from having just come off a mountain having helped my buddy get his pulp truck working and me and my Versys650 looked a little worse for wear... I was prepared to write the cheque and order right then and there and those assholes treated me like a homeless man... so I ever so politely told them to get fucked, drive 110km to another Kawi dealer I've dealt with.. they had what I wanted still in a crate and we hammered out a deal and 3 days later they even delivered my baby free of charge... Now I'm contemplating this bike or a Versys 1000 and guess who automatically gets the sale????

I really love your videos dude. It's so refreshing having bike reviews from journos with honesty, integrity and don't give a fuck about being honest attitude. All of your product reviews have been really helpful and as scientifically fair as possible. We need more people in the industry like this, not just the "this is good cos I'm paid to say it" crowd. Long live this channel!

Kudos, production quality rocked. Time and effort really shined throughout. As a devout disciple of moto and cult classics, the clever combination in this format had me stuck to my seat like a broke neck goose. Bravo.

you wont believe how easy this bike goes 200kph... You start in first gear, accelerate smoothly and shift up effortlessly. Then you look down onto the dash and notice you are already over 180kph. haha

I'm glad you're applauding Kawi, as I really wanted that to come through in the conclusion. Yes it's a bit ridiculous. No it doesn't make any market sense. But damn is it cool. ~RF9
@thorhansen54626 жыл бұрын
And isn't that the essence of riding?
@tiborsekelj6 жыл бұрын
Ryan, it makes no market sense? (so whats the market sense for h2, Busa, etc?) Certainly the bike isnt for everyone, but for those who know why they would buy this bike its more than perfect. Ridiculous in an amazing way. Its the most awesome bike i have ever owned (and one of them was an unbelievable ruby red R6 2008). Last year i was torn between a CBR1000R or ZX10R but both bikes didnt support my weight (100kg, heavy bones) and even less a passenger, panniers etc, lol. I cant stand adventure bikes, nothing wrong with them but soo not my style and not fit for my purpose. Big sport touring bikes (zx14R or similar) would fit my weight requirements but i want something more versatile and nimble to handle both short rides and long trips. When i saw the announcement in nov 2017 i booked it immediately, even without knowing the price and specs which will be available where i live. So far it has lived up to its promise. I commute on a FZ6 and love every single minute of riding, but on days off when i switch to H2SX for trips its like im reborn, pure bliss. Takes literally 3 seconds to feel again why its an amazing bike (first acceleration). the H2SX SE has no competition at the moment. the only bike in Hypersport Touring category
