Very nice long term review of the V 650 by both the owners. Cheers MVG/VIR riders. The fuel economy mentioned by Anurag of his machine is very low than all V riders in India & definitely to be looked at. As mentioned by Vivek, it is very much capable of cornering & some boys here have tested it to its limits just like a sports bike. As is advertised by Kawasaki in India, Versys 650 is an adventure tourer & is certainly for munching miles after miles on highways, twisties with occassional bad roads. It is not a offroading bike but one can do a marginal offroading with proper care. Pavlin your lean is definitely towards a proper offroading machin & you have already mentioned earlier that this bike with a 21" front & 17" rear with spoke wheels will be a perfect machine for offroading ofcourse with a weight reduction of about 30-40 kg.

Definitely, if they make it, I will buy it.

I really agree. A Versys with proper off-road wheels would be amazing.
@ioar54816 жыл бұрын
I’m totally agree with you. I own a 2017 and it is a perfect machine for on road long trips: confortable, very stable, good wind protection, enough power and torque, very capable brakes, excellent suspension. Off road is another issue. As you said you can do some offroading with proper care and proper tires but if you are intending to do a long ride which includes long distances offroading maybe the Versys is not the better choice.

Thanks for the informative video, these are great points as I just picked up a '17 Versys. The custom crash bars look as good or better than the commercially available ones. Plus you're enticing me to ride in India.

These folks obviously put a lot of miles on their bikes and ride in many different types of conditions. It's certainly testament to the ruggedness of the Versys and its reliability. Very nice people, and a well done video. :)

Excellent and very informative video from guys with plenty of experience, love it. Thank you very much guys! Great accessories BTW. I'm ballancing 50/50 between Versys 650 ABS and V-Strom 650 XT. Very difficult decision to be honest. I'm a bit missing traction control on Versys. I'm a new rider so I think it would worth it to have a bike with TC in the beginning at least. Keep the bike the wheel side down ;)
