That's too tight
@ALLTHINGSJIM6 жыл бұрын
Yeah it was a tad tight, i ended up just letting it off abit to give abit more slack, should always follow manufacturers recommendation for chain slack but typically they are around 30-40mm, thanks for watching and commenting thou 👍

All the comments about the chain being too tight, no one noticed that the aluminium swingarm block on the non drive side was 90 degrees out, pretty dangerous, and the axle isn't centered in the swing arm. Not only that, but the way that you measured where the rear axle will be completely out too. Some people REALLY shouldn't be allowed anywhere near spanners!

Sorry to nag but you have to spin your wheel before adjusting the chain to search tightest area of the chain

Ill remember that next time, never been told that before 👍

Confused on why you loosened the chain side bolt but tightened the other side...? I get the fact that loosening , (or backing out), the bolts is what tightens the chain, but you shortened the other one..?? Am I wrong? If so, my apologies.

Hi are you sure you rotated the chain adjuster on the right hand side correctly. It looks like your loosening it off? Plan to do mine soon
@ALLTHINGSJIM5 жыл бұрын
Your right, but I only realised after I stopped recording that side but I did end up re- adjusting my chain after anyway as once It was all tight I wanted it a tad looser, very good eye for detail on your part! 👍

ALL THINGS JIM. Thanks for getting back to me. Yeah thought it was strange but wasn’t sure as never done it before. No problem, cheers for doing the vid tho
@ALLTHINGSJIM5 жыл бұрын
@@speeddemon8786 no problem, thanks for commenting, its an easy job to do just make sure you adjust it the same both sides and check it with a tape measure or ruler etc and obviously do it as tight as the manufcturer recommends ( chain shouldnt be tight it needs some free play, think on my bike its 30mm off the top of my head but id still double check that) 👍

ALL THINGS JIM will do man, cheers!
