I'm going to try and put a little series together about the Zx6r J2 & A1P models. Just going over my experiences, modification, likes and dislikes about the bikes.

Looking forward to your new channel as I have a zx6r in yellow just like yours, had 2 of them 15 years ago and love these bikes , Dave from Belfast

Hi Dave. Thanks for the comment. These are such an underrated bike and I think this era of bikes are lost in the new generation. My last bike was a 2003 R1 which I bought new and done 900 miles in 2 years. It basically frightened me. Just far to quick for me. These you can nail and not get frightened but still see 130mph very quickly. It's all you need. Love them..

My G2's performance is nuts to me, it's strange for such an old bike how well balanced they made them. So cool how they tweaked them all slightly from the Fs to the Gs to the Js to the 636 A1P. Guessing the P in A1 P is for added performance of the 636 engine. I'm sure the carbs setup makes them all special in their own way and very responsive in London traffic too

A lot of riders don't realize that Kawi put the 636 engine in some 2002 & 1/2 models . In Europe and other places. These have to be one of the best daily driver supersports ever made . Still have one out in me garage.

Hi. Thanks for the comment, it really does drive me to produce more content on these. I think I said in one video that I'd looked on utube and there isn't much on these so wanted to try and help. Currently working on some more videos but I hadn't thought of a buying guide. I'll have a think and see what I can come up with. Thanks again Tim.

I can't remember if the A1P's were injected ,or still carb'd . Must have been punchier that the 599 cc ones regardless. IMO ,this model is better looking than the 03' - 04' 636's . I just loved them as they though were terror and still are . But definitely a bit clunky looking

Hi. Thanks for the comment. A1P had 44 improvements over the J2. Alot were internal to help aid the extra bore to 636cc. Still carb but 37mm carbs rather than the J2 36mm carbs. Main jets were slightly bigger aswell. Rear shock is a different colour to show it had improved dampening inside and unsure if they updated the fork dampening. Dimensions and everything stayed the same. I've seen reviews saying how much better the 636 pulls in the mids but I can't really feel the difference. It slightly unfair for me to compare the two as the J2 has now 28,000 miles and the A1P has 4,000 miles. The A1P is just tighter and gearbox feels slick but the J2 has had 7 owners. 600cc or 636cc these are the best bikes I've owned and fit me perfect for size. Thanks for watchin Tim.

Your j2 looks amazing....mine has 130,000kms on it. Not as good as yours.

Thanks man. 130,000kms is alot of miles lol. Glad it's still running and going. From what I've heard they are super good for over 100,000 miles. Thanks again and glad you enjoyed. Tim.

What is the paint code off the yellow bike
@kawasakizx6r813 Жыл бұрын
Not sure. I'll have a look .when I sprayed the bit at the bottom by the fairing I used Bike Colours from ebay. It's a 4 part paint. Primer, Then a base yellow, then a pearl colour that you needed to match your colour by the amount of coats you apply. Then gloss. Its a hard colour and if your spraying it with a gun I'd assume your need all the stages. Thanks for watching Tim.
