ZX6R J2 Dyno Day. April Project

Hi. I know the video was a while back and you may already have had some of these items or purchased some of them by now, but here are a couple of suggestions. To help reduction in wind noise, you can fit those 'fluffy' microphone covers. Helps a lot, especially with the microphone fitted in the helmet. Also, you can get one of those helmet chin curtains (not sure if this is what they're actually called) which will further reduce wind noise getting into the helmet. As to cameras, you're clearly going to be restricted to helmets fitted to a body harness or directly to the bike. I've been looking at getting a 360 camera mounted on a high stick to record slightly behind and above me. As to cameras fitted directly to the bike, all I can say is the lower down they are fitted, the more dynamic the action shots taken look.

Hi. Thanks for that. Yeah I've now invested into a go pro 11 at christmas. It's had to go back and has just been replaced due to camera shut off. I've got a dead cat wind protector and working on best placement. I do have the harness which has produced some good footage. At speed on the motorway I've had some popping noise however it's been suggested that's to do with Go Pros auto wind shut off, so I've turned that off and yet to test. I've now just sold the J2 and really concentrating on the A1P for more videos. Thanks again for the comment. Tim.

Nice numbers have a 02 yellow zx-6r as well one owner bike! And absolutely love it! Has the best rider triangle of any 600-636. And same power as same generation R6 and Gszr-6 and more comfortable. The Honda is a little more comfy. But imo this is the most underrated of them all.and the rarest nowadays

Great bikes. My mate has a Cbr600f4i, same year. I personally find it uncomfortable as its to upright. I need to have a slight bend in my lower back due to disability and these bikes fit me perfectly. Yeah, happy with 106bhp at the rear and the 636 A1P is making 113bhp at the rear. Plenty for me, I don't need anything faster. Had a new R1 back in 2003-2005. Scared the crap out of me and ended up pottering about. Lol. Sold it with 900 miles on the clock, just didn't ride it. Lol. These I love and can't get enough of.

Yeah was happy with the numbers. Bike rides excellent. I did sell the J2 last Feb 23. Just got the A1P now. Same things done and that was 112bhp on the same dyno. Personally not chasing numbers just good safe power and smooth power. Yeap I absolutely love these things.

We used to wash them filter's in a bowl of gas quickly and then straight into a bowl with hot water and a lot of dawn dishwashing soap then rinse again with hot water.

Motion pro quick turn throttle system is coming out in July 22 to fit the ZZR and ZX6R. Their calling it a Rev3 on their website.

Hi. The Domino quick action throttle is brilliant. It's universal so if I did ever change the bike I can pull it off and buy new cables. Very easy to set up and comes with 3 different inserts, ranging the level of how much it opens according to the throttle position. I put the most extreme and just got use to turning it a little. My mate got on the bike and said he had to get use to it as so sensitive at first. After 30 minutes he loved it. Sorry I missed this question and taken so long to get back. Thanks Tim.

When the bike is in it's upper range of speed, the ram air takes effect and the H.P. increase could easily be up around 111bhp. That's what Wikipedia say's anyway. It's plausible I suppose.

I'm buying one of these. It's blue and has 8k. You drink alot of Coke, don't you? Hope you get to feeling better! Try a bit more water & use a inversion table twice a day for 5min per use . Chiropractor and infrared massage should help you.

@@kawasakizx6r813 dynos. Some like 2nd gear and just full throttle others like half throttle through all the gears some like legit don’t even twist it a quarter.

Hi mate. Sorry for late reply. I'll have to double check with Dave but I'm sure it's 5th gear from about 3-4000rpm to limiter. Maybe it's different videos you have watched that have been edited. I know they spend ages rev matching the machines to the bikes and that's where they do it in different gears. All dynos are calibrated differently and maybe they do do it differently, that's why I really don't compare figures with people rather a baseline for myself and always back to the same place and same guy. Good info much appreciated my a1p 02 runs on temperature 88/92, just a silly question are your tests done on 99 octane? My experience after all this years is that over 100 hp on the rear is more than enough to enjoy yourself, I give up spannering many years ago however I am firm believer that well tuned carbs good fuel and plenty of air (ram) and a skinny rider .... which I am not 😉 equals a fast bike. Hi. I'm really sorry I missed this question. I use super unleaded rather than the standard because of E10 fuel in UK. Super unleaded is between 97 and 99 octane. Really glad you enjoyed the video and sorry I missed you. Tim.

@@kawasakizx6r813 I use Shell 99 octane ....most of the time stinks and I know is good juice and people behind me don't look that pleased 😷
