It is the Vermilion but it's the Vermilion of the Wabash, not of the Illinois. I grew up on it in central IL.

Used to fish the Vermillion where the Indian creek dumped in north of fairbury...wonderful area.

I fished this river back in like october. It was awesome. Large in some parts and smaller in others but it was amazing. The catfish were pretty large and all the other fish were awesome to catch.

Dude. Great vid. I just got back into fishing recently. I fish at Bauman park in Cherry Valley Illinois. Mostly on the Kishwakee river. I go for walleye and have had some pretty good luck the last two weeks. Thx again for the vid keep slayin'em!

Yep. Any of the parks along the river provide decent access but overall it's kind of limited.

No secret! But it's the only in the state with a National Scenic River designation.

@@RivermanTV- I fish central Illinois all the time mainly Putnam county, and Bureau County(region 2) the Illinois river for huge channel and flathead, some buffalo and white bass, and sauger! The location I fish is no secret; I challenge anyone to come fish the Illinois river and vermillion if he has the right tackle!
