KAYAK HAZARD? Tidal Whirlpools on the Georgia Coast

Are tidal whirlpools a hazard to kayaks? These were filmed on little tybee island March 2019. They were pretty large; 8 feet across and a tight spiral funnel that disappears in the depths of the water. This location is at the mouth of a creek on the island. We also saw similar sized whirlpools around the pass of the sandbar. These were a little larger and the tide was ripping hard in that location. Do you think these whirlpools are dangerous to kayakers?
