Need to catch some bullheads for them flatheads or small channel cats work well also
@65FullMoon834 жыл бұрын
You can use any fish to catch Flatheads as long as it's lively. Using any small Catfish is especially good for them because Flatheads are territorial & will often kill, chase & eat any type of Catfish smaller than itself. Even small Flatheads are good bait for larger ones. That's also why they're so hard to raise in fish hatcheries, because they begin to cannibalize one another voraciously at 1 inch in size.

Your small fish is my personal best. I started using your ultra light tackle techniques at the beginning of the summer and had really good fishing all summer. Now I’m after the big ones, I’ve been experimenting with some spots on the Ohio but haven’t caught one thing yet. Don’t think I’m targeting the right areas.

We have bodies of water here where the fish size is stunted because there just too many. Gotta thin out some of the small one to leave enough forage to grow the big ones.

My problem is all we have in my part of the state is channels and bullheads. So, channels are sought after for meat. I like bullhead myself. Fried in butter with either cornmeal or flour. Eat the meat off like corn on the cobb. What industry put the heavy metals in your river? What chemicals are in the fish so you can't eat them?

I love your videos and always enjoy seeing you fish. If I may, I would like to recommend chicken liver as bait. As they are very cheap at the store, they are bloody and put out a lot of scent, and I've caught many big fish on chicken livers. The only complaint I can possible have with chicken liver is the can come off if you cast them out super hard, but since you troll they should work perfect. If you find they're coming off your hook you can stuff them in pantyhose and they'll stay on better, but you don't have to do this to fish livers. I look forward to your future videos and good luck fishing!

How do you anchor your kayak? Seem you're planted pretty we'll!!! I'm gonna try 2 old small coffee cans filled with concrete, was a pretty cheap and simple setup. But would like to know what you use or if you just use the trolling motor to stay placed.

That new kayak sure seems to make the fishing more comfortable! The trolling motor looks to be a valuable tool, especially that "spot-lock" feature. What type of battery are you using? Lead-acid or lithium? And how many hours of use do you get out of each charge? Good luck and keep on catching those Gollywhoppers!
