"Only got 2 videos out last week...i got other stuff goin on." I love that you are dissapointed that you only got 2 videos out this week but other catfishing youtubers i watch post once a week and sometimes cannot even promise a video every week. But then theres justin the man who puts out 3+ videos a week when the bite is on. 😂Much love from Stl. MO.

My wife and I truly appreciate all of your videos and you have inspired us to get back out there and start fishing again. I am too old and too fat for a kayak so we last week went and bought a Bass buggy Pontoon boat. I ordered the Minn Kota powerdrive trolling motor with ipilot and should be installing that this weekend. We live in Cookeville but we prefer fishing on Cordell hall because we don't have the boat traffic there that you have to deal with in your neck of the woods.

I try to watch all of your videos. You are one hell of a fisherman! I usually always catch fish. This year has really sucked. I have always used live blue gill for flathead. But I'm starting to rethink what I have been doing. I was taught to fish by old timers that were known for catching big flathead on big river in Jefferson county Missouri.
@sunfishassassin59634 жыл бұрын
So I incorporated the dragging technique for shellcrackers for the first time this weekend..basically a 1 oz egg sinker with a bead behind it then a swivel and a leader about 30 inches a small float small hook with worms..I gave it about an hour and a half. Slow paddled about 20 yards off the bank parallel. .caught 4 shellcrackers in the 10 inch range..so it works..then I anchored out in a few more spots and caught 12 more on bottom lol
@KayakCatfish4 жыл бұрын
Well it was a fun experiment anyways. At least now you know.

@@KayakCatfish I think once it gets colder and the sunfish bed down..and dont move around so much it will be more effective than stationary fishing..and that is the goal

Good video. Fishing is rough up here on the Ohio right now. The Canelton pool anyway. Most of the flathead structure is out of the water. Plus dealing with the barge traffic with the water so low.
@hensleyshobbies-doug77614 жыл бұрын
Oooh-weeee! Holy Moly! Gots’ta love dim big ole flatheads! Get er done Justin, get er done son! I was always told by older and wiser men that early spring, right as the flatheads are coming out of their wintering holes and in the fall of the year just before the water gets too cold for the flatheads ( 50 and below), these are the best two times of the year to catch your biggest flatheads, especially right now till the water gets down to 50 degrees.

Some very nice fish in this video! Can you set waypoints with that motor? If you were fishing around a LARGE underwater island or hump and you wanted to fish along the North, South, East and West edges of the hump, can you store those positions and then just push a button to go to whichever side you want to fish? The SpotLock feature alone makes me want to get one of these.
@KayakCatfish4 жыл бұрын
I can’t set waypoints in advance with this motor. I do have the ability to record my route so I could motor around the hump and then let the motor guide me after I have recorded the path for it

I caught a 10lb channel on a 1/32 oz crappie jig, took us 15min chasing it in the boat to finally get it in. Same trip switches to a cane pole with minnows with 6lb test, hooked into another cat and line broke as soon as the cat realized it was snagged.
@KermitTheGamer214 жыл бұрын
I hooked into a 5lb channel while trying to get some bluegill. He came out from under a fallen branch and jerked my bobber down to where I thought I snagged on the branch. Fought me for a good 5-10 minutes on 10lb line. When I finally got him in and went to remove the hook, it just snapped in half. Thank goodness it didn't do that before I landed it!
