OK, I've lived in Texas all my life (73 years) and am familiar with a lot of the places you go (but still enjoy your videos) and really enjoy new places that I've never heard of such as Devil River around Del Rio. best to start at the Guadalupe state park if you are going to fish...not far from there to nichol's landing or the $5 dollar spot at 281

How long did it take to do the 4 miles? I assume around an hour if you're pushing, and 1.5 hours taking your time?

At the intersection of Hwy 281 and the Guadalupe River is a canoe livery shown at the beginning. They will drop you off upstream at Nichols landing. Then you just simply kayak downstream back to the canoe livery. They have plenty of kayaks you can rent or bring your own.
