I am Namibian, I love my country, I love Africa. I am glad that most of the African Americans are interested in visiting the continent. Most of the non - African people think that we are really behind but thats not true. I was born in the Capital City, moved to the village, schooled at the village, moved back to the city to attend Varsity, got a job at a University library. I like it here, i am not even thinking of moving to the US. You are all welcome to Africa.

@Breanda Crump... To all the brothers and sisters that want to visit Namibia, I will be happy to welcome you. I'm in my final year of varsity in Property Studies, which means I will be dealing with real estate. I will also connect you with African Americans who repatriated back here in Namibia before you even get here. My email is mekondjokondja@gmail.com. You can also join "The Repatriation Project Group/Chat" on Facebook to connect with the African Americans who repatriate to Africa. For every country you may want to visit, be it Namibia, South Africa, Zambia, Ghana, Sierra Leone, Tanzania, Ethiopia, Nigeria, Mali, Zimbabwe etc, they will connect you with our people who repatriated back to Africa from America that live in those countries. Black family let's connect.

The problem of American is that they don't know that Africa is a continent but not a country like most of them think. ....in schools we learn about continent including Asia, North America, south America, Europe. .you name it and we know almost every country within those continent. But If I come to America and ask you about Africa most of them wouldn't be comfortable with me. Well I'm a proud Namibian but I know everything about you guys. We have economic crisis at the moment but I advice you all to come here with something to do. .well business is a good option like what my sister kylan said.

My husband is from Ghana and I cannot wait for the day when we can settle down over there. We have worked with my mother-in-law to set up a daycare and have a few other businesses in the works and Ghana just has a different feel. People should really experience an African country, Africa has many unexpected opportunities and you can create your own platforms. Developing nations are more susceptible to entrepreneurs.

BKD Vickers oh please shut the hell up not all African countries are bad and Islamic. You are one of those typical ignorant experts on Africa without having set foot on the continent. Well just like any other country in the world each country has negatives and positives. But the problem with some people in the west you tend to look at the negative of one country and make it seem like it happens in all of Africa

Some of us can only afford 2 week vacations for visiting anywhere because we have normal under $35K/yr jobs. So her suggestion of visiting more than 2 weeks at time just won't wash. I say do according to how you can not by the advice of someone who earns or has earned a lot more than yourself. Listening to some folk like that will only deter a regular person from even trying to visit.

The white populations in these countries are not confrontational like the ones in the US, most have no bad intentions really and being a "black" South African I know the formerly Institutional racism is largely misrepresenting some white people. The rascim is not in your face and you are not in danger of being attacked or killed by the police for being just black. You might experience subtle racism in work, school environments or any such space occupied by predominantly white people. However you soon realise as soon as people start communicating and discover that none is a threat to the other then emotions or attitudes change.

This your continent, join the Agricultural sector. buy farms, create employment for the locals. Most blacks here because of poverty, its hard to buy a farm from white owners or the government.
