Hello! This video is leaving the circle so I figured I’d clarify a few things based on some comments I’ve been seeing. 1) I absolutely can acknowledge that Ethan is as much to blame here as Ariana, I didn’t even realize “homewrecking” was a term used specifically for women tbh. They are both at fault here. Tbh I don’t really like discussing celebrity relationships (or anyone’s relationship really) so I’m not comfortable talking about it in a nuanced way I guess, sorry if I missed the mark there 😅 2) Regarding the statement made by Ethan’s wife about the situation, I should’ve def included that for context but I missed it during my research. Either way though I think it doesn’t do much to pacify the cheating rumors considering that I highly doubt she would’ve come out and been like “yes this happened.” It’s embarrassing enough for her, you know? 3) okay one more edit, I don’t fuck with body shaming Ariana or anybody else, so those comments will be deleted just fyi Thanks for watching, if you’re new here, I hope you like my content. This series is always tough because there’s a lot of research to gather and I am just one person so there will always be room to grow and learn. Appreciate your attention!

What severely bothers me is how smugly her fans are defending her all because she said that the rumors where false because herself said so, 6 months after the rumors came out. Ariana had half a year to disprove the rumors but instead she decided to do it days before the release of her new song with out evidence. And during those 6 months, a handful of ex girlfriends from Ariana past boyfriends have come out to say that Ariana is a home wrecker with a handful of evidence. I think one thing to take note of that wasn’t mentioned in the video, is the affair highlighted how Ariana has a pattern/history of starting off as the other woman in multiple relationships. Another repeated pattern of her (in addition to being "the other woman" of taken men) is that almost all her relationships stemmed from collaborating for work. Nathan Sykes, Mac Miller, Big Sean all featured in her songs, while she met Pete Davidson on SNL saying "he was super hot" "I knew 100% I would marry him first time I saw him" when she was on/off with Mac Miller. Even Dalton, who worked as a realtor for her. Now, she's dating her co-worker Ethan Slater who's was married/just had a kid. It's definitely some time of infatuation problem where Ariana feels super powerful getting these men (who are less popular/wealthy than her) in a professional work environment.

FINALLY!! I'm so glad you brought up what she said about Pete Davison when she worked with him for the first time. I hate hate hate how she had to bring up Mac Millers business about his drug addiction, just because she couldn’t handle the criticism, and she turned it into people hating her because she is a woman. She always does this. I've been her fan since debut but when she started dating Pete Davison I began to dislike her. I know she had every right to date whoever she wanted after breaking up with Mac Miller but the way she went about it was so bizarre and narcissistic. She flaunted her relationship back and forth and made cringey posts and comments about Pete like right after she broke up with Mac who she was in a relationship with for 2 years. Saying she knew she would marry Pete the first time she saw him, which she met him in 2014 btw, I just cant imagine being Mac and hearing this on live television especially knowing they dated for 2 years and she moved on like nothing. Then they get engaged not even 3 months later. That whole era she was just embarrassing. Ariana has this recurrent pattern of not being able to take accountability and thinking everyone is just hating her choices because she is a woman which is so outdated. What can you expect from a snobby rich artist who grew up being rich since the beginning. She has talent but her talent and opportunities are a product of her rich parents, that why she will never take any accountability and why she keeps getting away with everything.

I think "yes, and?" really grinds people's gears because it wasn't even like, people make mistakes type of song. It's really a, yeah I did, so what? Like, people wouldn't care whose dick you ride if those people were single. Regardless of whether or not people believe that artists need to be role models, a society's values function by signifying to even its highest powers what is okay and what isn't. So if your fan base isn't okay with this, then they aren't okay with this; don't pretend like the power doesn't come from the fans who buy tickets to your show, because it isn't yours inherently. To top it all off, nobody could be "separate the art from the artist" about this because she literally made a piece about herself now. You couldn't just disengage yourself from the song and focus on her technical vocal talent, and waive off the songwriting as just another song.

People are probably gonna read it that way because they are inclined to believe she did it no matter what she says. But the intro to the video alone, where one of “critics” literally says “We read it on the internet so it must be true”, is telling you that she didn’t. Not a day it’s revealed that Page Six spread misinformation. I think for most people, before the news dropped, they were fixated on the idea that Ariana got with a married man, while she herself was still married. Now that that has been debunked people want to say “it doesn’t matter, she’s still a home wrecker”. Facts don’t matter to people. Hating someone based on assumptions does. 🤷♀️

The only line that really refers to Ethan is the **** i ride lyric. The song is actually about pulling yourself out of bad situations and finding your way back to the light. "yes, and?" is used in this song as a positive affirmation, not a clapback like some Ariana stans have used it on twitter. It's clear in the chorus: "if you find yourself in a dark situation, just turn on your light and be like 'yes, and?' say that with your chest. be your own best friend. keep moving, like 'what's next.'" The GP has only looked at it to be a "people make mistakes song/so what i did it anthem" because of the controversy surrounding her love life. the **** ride lyric is off putting given the controversy of her current relationship, i get it. but we'd be dumb to pretend like that's what the song is fully about.

Ariana is a selfish immature person at the end of the day and that’s what Jeanette was upset about. One thing that wasn't mentioned in the video is a probably considered as insignificant to other people but it meant a lot to the art community when it broke out and still stuck to me to this day. Back in 2016, Ariana partnered with Brookstone and released a cat-shaped headphone that copied the exact design of the artist Yuumei (Wenqing Yan)'s Axent Wear. my personal feeling and my theory about why this specifically was so bad for her is because it sort of felt like we'd come to a conclusion with the whole thing when she married. for someone like me who was very much tuned-in and also at an impressionable age in 2018, it almost feels like a betrayal to be brought along for her hero's journey of messy relationships and public controversies, climaxing on the terrorist attacks, her tumultous relationship with pete davidson, mac miller's death and just her whole 2018. thank u next felt like her cleansing herself of the past and turning over a new leaf having learnt how to keep her peace and positions felt like a triumph of the place she had come to. so for her to ruin that fantasy for herself and everyone really felt like an unnecessary sequel of bullshit to a very satisfying narrative that we had been there in the trenches to witness. of course she is not solely responsible for the public narrative that was spun around her, but i think it sort of felt like a cash grab sequel to a very good book where the inciting incident is some bullshit the writer pulled out their ass and that the character would never actually be dumb enough to do. it feels like a negation of the growth we thought we had witnessed
@cardiganweather9 ай бұрын
Agree 100%. And in a world where celebrities are more visibly messy than they used to be and everyone is constantly comparing and criticizing each other's faves, I'm sure ari heads felt such a relief to be able to say, "No, that was old Ari. She's matured now. She's self-aware and happy and in a seemingly healthy marriage." I can understand why, parasocially, fans feel betrayed. And the rest of us get to witness a train wreck.

If you were willing to have a friend like Colleen and support her and give her jobs, then whose to say, you didn’t witness how she interacted with fans or hear stories or opinions. No, but the black fishing thing is so right though. I’m saying this as a white woman. Yes, your skin is allowed to get tanned. Especially if you’re out in the sun and what not. But it really is so weird to purposely make yourself THAT much darker than your natural skin tone and at the same time jump on music and aesthetics that are associated with black culture. She clearly was trying to play off of the fact that black culture was trendy at the time. And she changes her look and aesthetic depending on what is in right now.

do you know what was wild about the ethan slater situation? that they conveniently split from their partners once wicked was shut down because of the strikes (maybe the sources I read was wrong). its there loud and clear that they fucked around until they couldn't anymore because wicked gave them a reason to hang out be together do whatever the fuck they were doing. people can argue with me how they want on this but if you date someone and they split up and get a new monogamous committed partner that quickly something was definitely going on, at the very least emotional cheating. the fact the internet caught on because of how her past relationships began is just unfortunate for her LOL. anyone with common sense who has read what the late Naya Rivera (Big Sean's ex) said and what her past songs have been like knows this has always been who she is.

I have a feeling the Wicked movies are going to bomb since theyre spending $310 MILLION total for the both of them, so they'd need at least $620 million from them to be profitable. Movie musicals havent done super great recently, so I doubt they'll make a fraction of that. Personally, I used to be a huge Ari fan! I knew about her dating history but wasn't aware how she basically stole all the men she's been with. So finding out that, plus the fact a young child is involved, put me off both Ariana and Ethan. Havent listened to "Yes, And?" and will not be listening to Eternal Sunshine. And definitely not seeing Wicked! I also feel like they waited too long to make them as Wicked isn't nearly as *popular* 😉 as it once was. Wouldn't be surprised if it closes on Broadway soon like Phantom did.

I like a few Ariana Grande songs here and there and I've noticed that she has a tendency to cast herself as the victim in her songs. She talks a lot about how she's healing from some previous hurt and has baggage and whatnot. I think it's hilarious how she maintains her stance as the victim when she obviously has a pattern of inserting herself into other people's relationships. Granted, I find it amusing when the men she's had affairs with get disposed of after a little bit. She knows how to pick shitty men and give them what they deserve. Based on her songs I've also noticed how she seems to become infatuated very quickly with these men and think she's deeply in love with them one minute then loses interest the next. Based on what I'm seeing, this is something she needs to sort out with a therapist. But this is just what I've gathered from her songs and what we've seen of her dating history. I could definitely be wrong.

I do worry about Ariana. She likely has some serious undiagnosed mental health issue stemming from being on Victorious because we are starting to get more and more information about how toxic those kind of work environments were at the time and then likely made worse by the Manchester Bombing which would mess with anyone's head and just like break them beyond the point of sanity. I always felt she needed to take a much longer break from music and the public eye after the Manchester attack happened to properly process it and deal with it and get proper help and stuff and maybe if she had done that she could have avoided a lot of the messy situations she has been in recently.

Me too, plus the fact she keeps getting surgeries but denying them and black/Asianfishing to me sounds like someone struggling with deep-seated image issues.
