They were all featured in the Sucker music video, and I feel like part of the reason the guys were able to transition to a more grown up status was because they were showing off how they’d settled down and had these amazing gorgeous women by their side, and they were gonna coast on pop wife-guydom from then on. I was a closet Jonas Brothers fan in high school. I didn’t want anyone to know I liked them because I thought pop music beneath me or something silly like that. Kevin was always my favorite because he seemed so responsible and normal compared to Nick and Joe. As an anxious risk averse teen who didn’t drink or party (or drive), I related to Kevin and kind of projected this levelheaded persona onto him. He also seemed like the brother most interested in the music and band management and that was appealing to me. I’ve only met one other person in my life who also loves Kevin (one of my close friends). I was so fucking hype when they dropped Sucker and Happiness Begins. It was so sweet to see them and their wives in the video together. As a Kevin fan, I thought it was nice that he didn’t marry a celebrity and hopefully has a quiet life away from some of that rabid attention. I was an adult when Happiness Begins came out and did not care about how people perceived me based on my interests so I yelled my love for the Jonas Bothers from proverbial rooftops and reveled in it. Loving the Jonas Brothers as an adult has been an exercise in not having shame about my interests. Omg I had no idea about that Frankie Tiktok and I absolutely love it.

Jobros were my first concert too, summer of 2007. I didn’t know who they were, but my cousin (a few years older) was obsessed (and still very much is, I love her sm) so we took her. I had a blast and immediately fell in love and my favorite was KEVIN because I already wanted to feel a part of the counterculture. Plus we had done the meet and greet package and he was so so kind, while nick was shy and Joe was standoffish. I stand by their eponymous album being a very excellent pop rock record.

@@mooncherrie yeah man. Priyanka is 41. It’s her baby genetically. She just couldn’t carry it to term. Genetics matter more than who carried the baby. Like it’s not a PR marriage just cause she couldn’t carry a child.
