I literally used floor king and went with mohawk because of you! No regrets AT ALL! Floor king was amazing and so is mohawk!

Thanks so much for all of the information. I just left a comment on the previous flooring video and it included a question about which Revwood line you chose. On screen, it said Plus but in the description box and spoken in the video is Premier. Anyway, I might be able to figure it out by the color name. It looks beautiful!

She said she used the Golden Hour Oak from RevWood Plus line (not Premier).

I am looking at this exact color right now. I have orangey maple cabinets. Do you think the golden hour would work for me? Is it extremely yellow in person? Thank you! I have a sample and it does not look terribly yellow with my lighting, so thinking it will work.

I love this floor it looks beautiful. I have same esthetic as you except for you island omg it’s amazing. Did your island get installed by your builder or did u do the quartz top yourself?
@kaylasimonehome4 ай бұрын
thank you :) I actually just a posted a video a few videos about our island & stone since we just got a matching backsplash. The island was done by the builder.

My house is currently being built how thick are your base boards and what’s the baseplate style called please I need help I have to decide asap. The floors look amazing.😊
@lisaburden30726 ай бұрын
Sorry base board style?
@kaylasimonehome6 ай бұрын
our builder just calls it “modern style” but any builder should know what you’re talking about if you show them a picture. the baseboards are 5.5” and the door trim is 3.5”.

Just curious because we also wanted to remove the builders tiles and put in LVP! How much was it overall?
@kaylasimonehome5 ай бұрын
did you watch the video? I said what the cost was 🙂

If you started in the closet would that help with the shifting
@kaylasimonehome6 ай бұрын
It would’ve! But you have to start where the flooring already is or you risk it not connecting properly. So after doing the first row or two, I could’ve done the closet then come back to finish the rest of the room

We're currently in the process of swapping the floor in our neww buiild. We originally were thinking on putting wood-like tile but came across all these lvp,spc, laminate,etc. is there any reason to go with those options instead of tile?
@kaylasimonehome4 ай бұрын
watch the part one to this video! (how I obsessively selected our floors) but it really just comes down to personal preference. I don’t like the way tile feels underfoot. It’s too cold and very hard to stand on since there’s no give/cushion at all. Faux wood flooring has come a long way and is a better dupe for wood than tile imo, plus you don’t have to deal with cleaning the grout.

@@kaylasimonehome thanks for your reply. I've watched the entire series. Didn't think choosing flooring was that hard, everything looks different in the store vs trying at home with different shades and colors. I've some ppl tell me LVP look chep vs tile but we will he paying for it at the end of the day

The shoe mold is tragic. With it being new construction they could have scribed the trim and tucked the flooring under it. The house looks wonderful and most homebuyers will never notice.
@kaylasimonehome5 ай бұрын
scribe the trim across the whole house?! omg I wouldn’t even bother getting a quote for that here lmao that would be so expensive. floating floors with shoe mold is the norm in Texas so like you said, not worth spending the extra money to do it differently when no one is looking for that lol
