I suggested this on one of your stories before, but I would love to see a video where you show us the process of a plant under your care. aka how a plant looks when it comes into your shop, and how it looks when you deem it to be ready to sell. Loved the content so far!

Here in Sweden you can find cutting of the variegated Adansonii for high double digits now, the demand is still high, but that's just a testament to how easy they are to propogate and grow, they're literally EVERYWHERE.

I found where the city dumps they’re plants. I found an Alocasia last week and today 3 Colocasia. The fun thing is that they were growing from super deep in the dump (mix of tree clippings, grass cuttings, other dumped plants, etc, and a 3’ snake skin😮♥️) and I wasn’t able to find the corm, but a good 1’ of the petioles had roots growing from them! I planted them in my bog filter, and so far, they’re still surviving. No corm, only roots coming out from an all white petiole.

Yes! Please do an all-rounder video! That is my kind of list! For those of us that just don't have a lot of money to buy every plant on our Wishlist, it would be fantastic to know which plants are worth the splurge and reduces our risk of just throwing money away on a plant that is just ridiculously hard to keep alive or one that is just overwhelming to have for the ones that have treble digit plant collections.

3:35 That actually make me feel more sane. I currently have a propagation of a white Albo, and nothing is happening to it after sitting in water for over a month now. Mind you, it's a cutting with three areal roots, four notes, and three mature leaves, so the cutting itself has everything it needs. On top of that, it also sits in water with added root growth, it has a water pump that constantly adds air, and it gets plenty of indirect light. Today I'm trying to lower the pH value of the water closer to under 6.5 (it's currently a little over 7.0) to see if I get any root growth. Wish me luck!

I got a cutting in January. It don't do anything for me in sphagnum moss, I almost threw it away. It was one leaf. I put it in water and two weeks later it was growing a new leaf! And ROOTS! I put it in a 2 inch pot with soil and worm castings and now it is working on its forth leaf! Don't lose hope!

I’ve got almost the same plant. It came with root rot so I kept it in moss for a while until it seemed like it was doing well with roots. I lost patience however and just stuck it in soil two weeks ago. Doing nothing above the soil level but who knows! Doesn’t seem unhappy, just seems like it’s doing nothing.

I live in a cold dry climate (Northern Ontario) and have had a lot of success with propagating Burle Marx Philodendron. The mother plant is massive, it gets terrible light, sits directly on top of a forced air vent, I forget to water it and the kids bump into it constantly. Despite all that, it is vibrant green, healthy, and looks like a majestic jungle tree. I have to prune it very regularly and the cuttings always root quickly in water or soil.

Adansonii - Just cannot stop it!!! About 6 weeks ago, I got a 3.5 inch pot with four cuttings in it, each about eight inches long. Then I got hand surgery, and all gardening is on hold (except watering) for another week yet. I have a larger pot for M. a., and a totem for her to climb up on, but, well, next week. Even so, she grows on like a weed! Each vine is now about five feet long. I have wound them together into a ball 18 inches around and 24 inches tall. Gotta love that persistance!

Did you really just stunt on us with that reticulata?! 😍😍😍I literally just bought one this morning -- a tiny baby stater -- and I feel totally justified in doing so now (I'm also completely open to any and all care tips!). As for propagations, I have to concur with Monstera being super easy. While not exactly a propagation story, mine was down to 2 leaves when I had to cut off all the roots after a failed leca transfer and within a few weeks I had new roots growing. A few months later, one of the two leaves survived with a new baby leaf doing well (in leca), so I def can see how they are super easy to prop.

I haven't watched Kaylee's recent depression videos but I have followed her long enough to know about the Cyber bullying. I hope that she knows that she brings about much joy and happiness to the majority of her viewers and that the small vocal minority who spend their lives hating and talking shit, are not worth a second thought. Please stop cutting yourself you're way too intelligent and inspiring to fall into that pattern.
@DeaDiabola

Suggesting that self-harm is a metric for intelligence is pretty fucking gross. Inspiring people are still people, and her having struggles with that shouldn't make her LESS inspiring. Tf kind of "compliment" is that
@DeaDiabola
@DeaDiabola 3 жыл бұрын
Mentally ill people nor the disabled do not solely exist to serve as inspiration porn to the healthy and having that expectation is messed up. Being mentally ill isn't a choice. It isn't something that afflicts the unintelligent as it does not discriminate. Pressure/stress/tragedy/shit like massive cyberbullying hate campaigns can make it WAY harder to cope with. People are still deserving of your respect and adoration if they struggle with an illness. An illness of the mind is no different than any other chronic condition. Like do you see someone with a disability that affects their mobility, and when they start walking a little but still need the chair and go, "noo omg you're so inspiring don't fall into that cycle, you're too intelligent to need a wheelchair" whenever they can't handle being on their feet again for a while? Same energy, my guy. If you care about Kaylee as a person, then you care about her as a WHOLE person - and this includes her illnesses. It is dehumanizing otherwise.

Eek, great video! I want all your plants! And that plant wall! Can you ship that to me in the States? I'm new to your channel, do you ever do plant tours of your space? I'd love to see a plant tour!!! Thanks!!!

Have you done a video on plants that doesn't propagate well? If not, would love one! Or, if anyone knows of any previous video on this topic :)
