Hey! Glad that both of you got some water :) Little history info: if I am not mistaken, Genghis Khan's army has demolished and burned down Otyrar after a 6-months siege led by two of Genghis Khan's sons. The resistance was fierce, so Mongol's retribution was very harsh for being "a pain the ass" during their Central Asian conquest. Eventually, the city was rebuilt in 15th century, but abandoned in the beginning of 19th century.

Some more excellent knowledge! I didn't realise it took that long - but clearly the natural defences are excellent. And I didn't know they rebuilt it... The water was amazing!

P.S. the city from this video it is not really a city, it is a district and its name is not Ostrar but Otyrar. But anyway thanks for your review!

We had it wrong all day, perhaps because of the maps we were using or maybe we're just silly, but I've called it Otrar in the blog
