Thank you! We had so much fun this day even though it was hard because it was so hot. We loved the well and Ben was so proud when he managed to get some water

Hey! Glad that both of you got some water :) Little history info: if I am not mistaken, Genghis Khan's army has demolished and burned down Otyrar after a 6-months siege led by two of Genghis Khan's sons. The resistance was fierce, so Mongol's retribution was very harsh for being "a pain the ass" during their Central Asian conquest. Eventually, the city was rebuilt in 15th century, but abandoned in the beginning of 19th century.

Some more excellent knowledge! I didn't realise it took that long - but clearly the natural defences are excellent. And I didn't know they rebuilt it... The water was amazing!

Subscribed! I was wondering what destination is going to be next after Shymkent or you prefer keeping it in secret?) And how long your trip around Kazakhstan is going to last? P.S. the city from this video it is not really a city, it is a district and its name is not Ostrar but Otyrar. But anyway thanks for your review!

Thank you! And you'll find out where we are next in a few days hopefully! The video's ready to go, but I've still to write the blog and work on the pictures. You're right about Otyrar... We had it wrong all day, perhaps because of the maps we were using or maybe we're just silly, but I've called it Otrar in the blog
