Today my wife and I are in Ohio, and we start this video off at Winton Woods Campground. First thing in the morning we grab a quick shower then go for a bike ride to show off the camp grounds. After our bike ride we head out to eat at Bob Evans for lunch and breakfast. I order the new Dang Hot Chicken sandwich while Carol orders her favourite breakfast.

Bob Evans Restaurants, also known as Bob Evans, is an American chain of restaurants owned by Golden Gate Capital based in New Albany, Ohio. After its founding in 1948 by Bob Evans (1918-2007), the restaurant chain evolved into a company with the corporate brand name "Bob Evans Farms, Inc." (BEF), and eventually established a separate food division to handle the sale of its products in other markets.
The company made several major acquisitions, including Owens Country Sausage in 1987, and was split in January 2017 with the sale of its restaurant division to an affiliate of Golden Gate Capital. BEF Foods remained independently owned until September 2017 when it was sold to Post Holdings.
The Bob Evans family restaurant chain includes 438 locations in 18 states as of 2023, mostly in the Midwestern and Mid-Atlantic regions of the United States.[5] The locations are all corporate owned, and none of them are franchised.
The restaurants feature a country-living theme, and most locations sell baked goods, snacks, and small gift items. The company formerly offered pork products and refrigerated side dishes in retail grocery and food service markets. The distribution of these products, sold under the Bob Evans and Owens Country Sausage brand names, was independent of the restaurant division.

Hi Ken and Carol! Bob Evans just down the street from me in Evansville, IN. Cincinnati, OH just about 4 hrs away to the E. My favorite dish is the Western Omelet I had at 3am in my younger yrs. I like the breakfast Carol had. Lunch is the bacon cheeseburger!!!

My wife and I don't eat at Bob Evans often. When we do go their I always get the Chicken Fried Steak Dinner. The two places we mostly go to for breakfast is in Toledo, Ohio is Mama's Kitchen or Nick's Cafe. The two absolute best breakfast spots in NW Ohio.

I love Bob Evans. I grew up in central Ohio and they were very popular. I enjoy the sausage gravy & biscuits, chicken and noodles, beef vegetable soup and coconut cream pie. The restaurants are owned by Golden Gate Capital & the quality has gone downhill. More locations are being closed than new ones being opened. The Bob Evans corporate headquarters in New Albany, OH only owns the food portion of the business that makes and sells the mashed potatoes and mac n cheese that is sold in grocery stores. Sadly, most locations in the Tampa Bay area are closed. We still have one each in Clearwater, North Tampa and St. Pete.

Bob Evans chicken isnt real. My son had the dang hot and i had the honey butter chicken. I couldn't believe how artificial the chicken was so we ate the fries paid and went to arbys instead.

Years ago, I used to get grilled catfish at Bob Evans, but then about 20 years ago it disappeared from their menu. Cheddar’s Scratch Kitchen also had it, but it disappeared from their menu as well. The only chain restaurant that I know that still serves grilled catfish is Cracker Barrel…

You should visit Indianapolis in the near future. Plenty of places to eat and things to do. St Elmo’s steakhouse has the worlds best shrimp cocktail. Indy 500 to visit as well as pork tenderloins. Eagle creek state park is 15 mins away from downtown as well

I live in Cleveland Ohio and have always liked Bob Evans. I have not been there since pre Covid but I like their breakfast menu. My father ordered a Chicken pot pie and he liked that as well. Their frozen mashed potatoes are a big hit in Ohio but I always make my own potatoes. Thanks for the video.

There 3 buttermilk pancakes are good with there sausage links. Plus other news Red Lobster bought out corporate couple years ago now they get fried fish and other seafood items seasonally on menu . A employee at my location before it was torn down , in Harrisonburg,Va , told me this , me and my fiancé miss there food so much .

sadly, spaghetti warehouse has been closed down for a while now due to a roof collapse last year and to my knowledge they haven’t released a re-opening date yet 😢 so many memories there

The Bob Evans farmhouse in Rio Grande, OH is a neat place. They have an annual farm festival there in Oct. This is their 52nd year of having it. When I was a kid we took our camper to this festival and parked in the large field across from the farm. It was primitive camping but we had a good time. To be honest Bob Evans Restaurants were at their best when Bob was still around. It was always a treat for us kids to go there for breakfast.

Great video! I had this chicken sandwich when I was back in the states and I really wasn't a fan. It was a ton of butter and mayonnaise. It was super soggy and gross. That's not to say all of them are that way but that was my experience
