@@chancecarlson2023 definitely not as strong as HOS. Dangai is relative to True Shikai and its generous to call them equal in power since Ichigo has his true power and the strength of his zanpactou. Mugetsu was just the final ability of Tensa Zangetsu- an attack which had all of his soul reaper powers. Mugetsu may be the strongest attack in Bleach besides for Yhwach’s rietsu in general but HOS doesn’t sacrifice his powers and in general has more power, plus it’s an added bonus to both his shikai and bankai.

In the official Data book for Bleach, it was stated the Ichigo's speed in bankai is as fast as actual lightning. which is roughly about 670 million mph (miles per hour), or 186,000 miles per second when put in actual terms.

I think the data book statement is a manner of speech since Ichigo was already moving at actual light speed when he ran up to the Menos Grande's Cero (which the data books refer to as "light-based attacks"). I recommend watching Clyde's youtube videos on Bleach since he goes into a lot of detail explaining the speed and power of Bleach characters.

@@3slicessenpai i take the data books over somebody over-analyzing certain events that they get wrong most of the time as Ichigo being able to create multiple after-images in a 3 ring circle each one going the opposite direction so it supports that statement. Also Ichigo stood at the feet of the Menos for a solid 2-3 second before the menos even fired its attack cuz it was charging up... he didnt run to intercept the attack the moment it was fired....

@@TimaeusShinryu Isn't the return stroke (the fastest part of lightning and what causes the visible flash) only 1/3rd the speed of light? The number you gave is the speed of light. I feel like the speed the data book was referring to is the initiating step ladder that goes from the cloud to the ground, which is around Mach 260 (200000 miles per hour/321869 kilometers per hour). This also seems to line up with the progression of speed feats later in the story.

@@aea3630 you may be right...the data book just says "as fast as lightning" so its hard to say which is correct cuz theres no actual numbers to reference but ur data sounds more correct when u think about how much stronger everyone gets later on which would also means speed wise too...

I just noticed now that when Ichigo had his bankai released, Toshiro and Matsumoto were shocked. ... I'm thinking it's because they thought it was similar to the feeling of his Dad's Bankai. They knew his dad for so long so I bet they know what his bankai is too.

yoruichi is a former captain, she was the captain if squad 2 before soi fon also to clarify not all captains are relative with each other in terms of spirit pressure or strength, some captains can destroy the others with little effort if they wanted to

It would have been hilarious if Yoroichi had activated her Flash God Form* in this fight (or in front of Soi Fon in general). I have no idea how they are going to get that past the censors when the anime catches up with the manga, but I have a feeling that Soi Fon would have gone into full meltdown just seeing her.
