If I never heard anyone else sing the National Anthem, Kristen Chenowith's would be enough, I like no one better, and I love a lot of singers. Maybe it's just me, but I hear pride and respect in her striking rendition.

Kristin IS the Greatest Singer of ALL Time. I have seen her for 3 of her live shows and she is AMAZING. There is NO ONE Better. Kristin is SINGULAR! If you ever get chance to go to one of her concerts, You really ought to go. It is a night You will never forget. Kristin sings from the Heart. It is so AMAZING to see how someone that tiny can have such a HUGE Voice. So Full and what a range also. Absolutely Fantastic! Kristin is a National Treasure!

There are alot of people who do not want to even attempt this song because it's very difficult to do 'correctly' & there are just a hand full people who actually can do it right. I'll be honest with ya though, the two things that make me lose intrest right now are the ones who either don't know the words &/or the ones who (for whatever reason) change the notes, that's when I'll just quit paying any attention to'em at all.

This is second only to Renee Fleming. Her voice is beautiful. She sustained the high note at the end as only a classically trained soprano can. No spice ups no twists just singing it straight and honoring the country. Only extra note is on the word "banner" which is 2 notes not 3 and she pronounced "perilous" as "perOlous" as pretty much everyone except Fleming does. And her decision to alter the tempo was little odd. Not as powerful as Fleming but still better than those pop singers. She definitely deserves to sing at the super bowl.
