Can A STOCK New Ford Bronco Tackle Broken Arrow In Sedona?? | Trail Tested

I have done Broken Arrow twice. Once in my 2019 Ranger, & once in my Bronco Badlands Sasquatch. Both with Nitto Recon Grapplers, 15 psi wasn’t having wheel spin. The exception was, I also drove the Bronco up the steps, had a little wheel spin there, but it handled it fairly easily.

How'd you do up the steps, given all the traffic? The Pink Jeep folks are barreling down that every 10-15 minutes or so.

If you are close enough to Sedona for Broken Arrow, you need to try Smiley Rock trail outside Jerome and Crown King trail!

Done that trail so many times in my stock JLUR with 35s. But just got a BadSquatch and headed up this weekend to compare. Really looking forward to the contrast. The Bronco is so far ahead of the Rubi as an over-the-road truck. But the Rubi (kept it in the family) inspired so much confidence everywhere I went in AZ, UT, and CO. We'll see how the BadSquatch does, bone stock.

I would like to know what tire pressure you are using. Doesn't seem like there is much flex in the sideways and that would explain some tire slip.

I think it’s pretty widely known the stock Sasquatch Goodyears aren’t the greatest tire for crawling? I would be curious to hear your thoughts if you did the same trail with a true M/T?

You should’ve seen the tires at the bronco driving school in Austin. They were so thrashed, chunked and sliced with whole knobs/lugs missing. The girl there told me that tired didn’t last long there and that some were on the third set and that was last summer so they hadn’t been open that long. They even had a hill there named after the tire because it was notorious for destroying them.

I think those tires sacrifice more off-road capability than on-road manners. Maybe a better tire for the majority who barely will take their rigs off-road? The vehicle was surprisingly more comfortable than I’d expected! I was planning on switching them out upon vehicle delivery, but halted that idea after driving on them… when ready to swap, I’m not sure which tire to go with…

@@GrayGhostDog1 K02's rock on and off road. I never felt they were a compromise on my Rubi for either mode. I'm not thrilled with these Goodyear's on my new BadSquatch so far. But we'll see when I hit Schnebly and Broken Arrow this weekend. Plan is to melt these Goodyears over the next year, then move to K02 37's.

@@ronbarry8542 I've had KO2's on my F150 Raptor. They were okay, if I can recall. The F150 Raptor's suspension was way different than my BadSquatch, so I can't quite do an apples-to-apples comparison... I just think the Goodyear Territory tires are lighter, quieter, and smoother on-road than most aggressive off-road tires. The Territory MT's(Maximum Traction) maybe a little aggressive in its appearance, mostly? Sometime next year I plan on swapping them out... eyeing the Toyo Open Country RT Trails at the moment... sticking with 35's.

@@GrayGhostDog1 Solid feedback. I'll reserve judgment on these GYs until I do Broken Arrow and a couple other trails I'm already familiar with from Jeep days. The K02s just seemed, by consensus from my experience and among my group of serious off-roaders (most more serious than me), to be the most rounded for offroad, on-road, and snow. And those are my parameters.

Have a Rubicon gladiator on 40s and 3 inch lift and a Bronco on 38s with a 4 inch lift and I’d drive the Bronco daily over the gladiator. Check my channel for reference.

I was confused too. I thought having Sasquatch and paying $4000 meant it was a little more that stock. Stock is a base with no mods at all. I guess it’s all relative.

@@justlivelovelaughfrugally ... yes, you are definitely confused. The vehicle in the vid is bone-stock. If you can get a vehicle equipped with several optional packages straight from the factory it has ALWAYS been referred to as stock.
