Very solid video that highlights the capability differences between the Base and the Badlands. This is a great, realistic video that shows people what a custom 4x4 Bronco can do compared with what a lot of people-who will never take their Bronco in the mud (intentionally)-will get for their money. Honestly, I think the Black Diamond would be the perfect trim level for what I’d want to do. I just want a mid tier trail rig to take on mountain bike camping trips! And with the name Black Diamond (like the bike trail classification) it just makes perfect sense!

I am a crane operator and use hard shackles every day. Backing off the pin in the shackle one turn isn't really the best way. What will happen is you will end up stretching the shackle "mouth" out every time you put a bit of side pull on it (which when off roading is every time). Eventually the pin won't go in all the way. Instead use some lube on the threads of the pin and tighten it finger tight. On the off chance it gets stuck, give it a tap with anything (another shackle is what I usually use because it's handy). Your shackles will last a lot longer.

I love the front bumper & winch on your baby Mitchell. But after driving off-road in a Badlands the other day at a Ford event. I couldn’t imagine blocking that much of front camera though. While on the trails, I found myself driving off the screen so much. It was easily one of my favorite things. So glad we have that option on ours. My Onyx Black, Badlands SAS 2.7 Lux, should be here in a month-my blend date was today! I’m definitely doing aftermarket bumpers. But there’s no way in the world I’m blocking that camera as much as you have. Even if the front end on yours looks freaking awesome! I know something will come out that doesn’t block the view and works with the ACC sensor. And if a winch is part of the bumper I like, great. But I know I’ll never use the winch. There’s just no way I’ll be taking her that serious off-road that I’d need one. But they look so awesome…. like yours. 😉 Keep the videos coming. ;)

I just took my Bronco 4 door Badlands offroad in the mud five days ago. The alternator is towards the bottom of the engine.Guess what? 24 hours later I lost all power to the vehicle. I was stranded. My hazards wouldn't even work- and I was on a dark road at night. It got mud in it and needs to be replaced. Its 1 month old. My markup was $8995 over. I paid it. You cannot take your bronco in the mud even though it has a mud setting for one of the GOAT modes. Oh and it's not covered under the factory warranty because I should have know not to drive through mud. It's so far costing me $1100.00 and that's after they gave me a break on the labor because they told me they cleaned the alternator and it was fine, then sent me on my way. A mile down the road the Check charging system light came on. Took it back and they ordered the alternator which is backlogged 5 days. FUN TIMES.

If they put a leveling kit and nitto ridge grapplers on that base bronco it would be wayyyy better off road. Excellent video. So you can take a basic Bronco, add a lift and some 35" and damn near go anywhere. Not bad. Impressed, I would go as far to say that if you would have put better tires on the base Bronco he would have maybe not been able to do the entire track, but better and for most drivers.... your other video already proves minus the crash bars, you can put bigger tires on it without going stupid.

FINALLY a base comparison. I feel base should always be tested so people can now whats the bare minimum it can do. To bad journalists always get the loaded bling bling models. The base model is meant to be modified and first thing are the tires which make a world of a difference and at least at 33" but 35 are the sweet spot. Do a mild lift at 3 inch and a rear locker is a must. I really liking the black diamond since I believe that always buy a vehicle and add, not replace items. The black diamond has cool wheels and those 33 mud terrain are perfect for 3 years until they wear out and then you move to 35s and keep the wheels. The bumpers are steel so they will stay. It has a rear locker and those seats are nice.
