For clarification- my understanding is that safes don't prevent parameters from being overwritten, but from being loaded. Every time you save a scene, it takes a "snapshot" of EVERY parameter. Enabling a safe merely prevents the particular parameter(s) from being loaded in place of the current one(s). Drew, can you confirm?

Correct, at the end of the video I mentioned that you can still overwrite a parameter using the library section even if a scene safe, channel safe, or parameter safe is enabled. The safes only deal with the loading of scenes, but when a safe is enabled, it prevents the loading scene from overwriting the current settings of the items that are 'safed'. And, yes you are correct, scenes do take a snapshot of every parameter.

I have no idea at all . completely lost he’s talking in circles. Could possibly be the worst video in the world. It says safe so you think it would keep what you click but I think it won’t keep what you click but he does the absolute worst job of explaining it in a simple way that people can understand. I have learned absolutely nothing and I mean absolutely nothing from this video except getting more confused. He has to understand that people watch his videos to learn. He explains it as everybody knows already and he’s just confirming it. He has no ability to talk on this subject so somebody trying to learn can understand it. You can tell by all the questions pretty much Have confusion about what’s going on

Is there a way to protect parameters between snippets? I.e. an in-ear mix that I do not want to effect while I am changing settings on another in-ear mix? Or do I need to use another scene? Speed of loading process is my concern

Hi, how do I configure my mixer which is midas m32 to recall the faders. Every time I load a scene the faers stay exactly where they are. Thanks fred

Is it possible to see when a scene was loaded? Is there some kind of log of the uploads of different scenes, snippets etc.?

When I go from one scene to the next everything changes because every individual scene has its own load-out, so to say. Right? So when I change from one scene to my next scene that has some safes on it, the board doesn’t let the next scene change the current load out that I have safed? Like if I go from “Sunday Service: 123456789” to “Wednesday Night: 02748xxx4” it should be “Wednesday Night: 12345xxx9”??

Hi Drew, love your videos, following since 2014. Can you please help me out here? I have a gig at a venue where they have a X32 desk, but they have set up their outputs configured in very complicated way. I would love to create the channels at home in my desk and take it with me in a USB drive to load it at their desk. What's the best way to do it? Basically I want all the channels to have my settings but don't want to ruin the output section of the board including inserts for main LR and foldbacks. Thanks

By mistake I put a safe on a channel and couldn't figure out how to get it to work. We use different scenes and the same microphone kept showing up. This happened a while back, finally figured out how to use it. But with your video I finally understand more. Keep up the good work. In the Android mobile app gives you an option to add password to a scene or a channel (I'm not sure which one) , have you used this feature?

Always fun finding that pesky safe that you didn't know about! I only have Apple and windows products currently, I have an Android product that I am going to start messing with soon. I believe you are referring to mixing station as the Behringer apps do not have any sort of password. Thanks!

Help. multiple teams. diferent scenes. When I change the scrible strip, no mater what I do itchanges it for a scenes... IE I want channel 11 to be tom on 1 scene and channel 11 to be Karen on another... What am I doing wrong? Thank you

Change the name, then store the change into the scene. Store it on every scene that you need it on.

That is awesome! X32 would be a great board for a school. Look into getting the SD8 or SD16 for adding more than just the 16 channels. That way you can get the additional inputs where you need to on the stage. If you do this, don't forget to get shielded cat-5 cable (STP not UTP).

I know this is an older video, but I can't to figure out how to do what I want. Say we have a current scene that we use for our Sunday services, and it has all FX assigned. However, I would like to "try" different FX on another scene to see if there is a better option (maybe trying a different reverb or delay type) for a particular song/etc... Is there not a way to save or quickly recall the current FX without having to revert manually back after trying a different effect?

Question: Hi Drew, you said that Safe Parametre safes only the Scene. But what about a Snippet? Ex: I setup a play with mutiple cues and I selected my BUS1 at -10db for every cue. Now, I got ask to bring it up à 0db for everything. Can I safe the specefic setting from being load from the Cues/Snippet or do I have to go back in every Snippets and edit it? Thank you

Hey Daniel, you would want to check out this blog post: dbbaudio.com/2016/behringer-x32-scene-safes/. But you would want the Preamp (HA) selected on all of your scenes to keep that scene from changing the gain and phantom power. Thanks!

The X32 Scene display has a label named "Show". Can I have more than one "show" with differents scenes inside the board? Can I have differents Shows organized on a USB?

Hello! Yes, you are able to export your 'show' to USB sticks and load them at a later time. It will export not only the show but all of the scenes and snippets as the show is built off of the scenes and snippets. Unfortunately, you are only able to have one 'show' loaded on the board at one time. However, you could link the computer up with X32-Edit on a computer to have more 'shows' accessible.

@@DrewBrashlermaybe a dumb question but.. which type of usb is compatible with x32 producer? Also, if I have a couple of files on the usb ( like pdf) will that affect the saving of the scene? Should I keep a dedicated, completely empty, usb for the x32?
