Don't let him hear that he may think that you're talking about him. Because how dare he create an environment that allows children to be sexually assaulted? How dare he? And how dare us to call him out on the behavior?

Exactly, not to say other ppl weren't at fault. But her mother literally sold her to industry when she knew herself went through the same. A parent is supposed to protect her cub and P.B didn't. Kesha never stood a chance like many child stars

A type of behavior that’s being exposed more and more. Also, it’s so cruel to exploit her exploring her own sexuality like that - the way in general that’s used, like giving someone pleasure is such an awful thing. And that’s what you get for agreeing to the pictures in the first place. It’s become a very bogus attitude.

so far i’m reading between the lines and i feel like her mom is no different than other stage parents. she sold her daughter into this life and allowed her to go off with adult men as a teenager. not saying she’s unforgivable or evil but idk why her sending her daughter to live with a guy she “thinks is her dad” is considered supporting her dreams and not parental naivety/neglect. i also notice the party girl persona seems more reflective of peebie’s lifestyle rather than kesha’s (at least in the beginning)

I didn't even tell my mom when shit like that happened to me, I was raped as an adult and kiddiefiddled by my grandad as a young child, but I didn't remember that til a few years later, suddenly had all these traumatic memories looking at his photo one day (hadn't seen him for years) I thought I was mad and it couldn't possibly have happened. as an adult my mom told other family members my grandad did that to her and I was like 'omg I'm NOT mad!' but I was still confused, thinking maybe I'd heard something from my mom that created false memories. I finally asked my mom a couple of years ago (I'm now 37) if I could have known about her, she said no chance, she hadn't said anything to anyone until recently and obviously it happened long before I was born, so my memories were actually memories of what he did to me. I asked her why she'd leave me with him knowing how he was and she said 'I didn't think he'd do it to you' 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️

Me too. Prior to "Praying" and the lawsuit against Dr. Luke, I found her trashy, repulsive, and devoid of talent. All her songs were high-pitched autotune and I didn't exactly find "Brush my teeth with a bottle of Jack" (Daniels) particularly poetic. It baffled me how people listened to this Hollywood white trash just because it was heavily promoted and played everywhere. Well, fast forward a few years and I was absolutely stunned at her vocal range, maturity, trauma and coercion experienced, character, personality, and ability.

Ive always loved kesha. Being about 26 or 27 when she “came out” i remember she just kinda hit the world in a whirlwind. Me being a bit older and not a party girl, also loving more of a classic rock- i still vibed with kesha so hard! She then.. disappeared. A few years later i found out what happened and was so sad for her. The entertainment industry is a literal hell hole that sucks up these young people and literally steals their life and innocence. Ugh. Glad you are covering this. #freeBrit #freeKesha

Kesha’s music defined my high school days, the more I learnt about her, like how intelligent and kind she is, I liked her more. Seeing the Dr Luke case happen in real time was heartbreaking, I believed her immediately. Although I loved the music that started her career, it wasn’t authentically her and I wished the best for her, hoping that she could get her career and her life back. Then Zedd reached out to her about True Colours and that moment at Coachella where they performed it together is to this day so iconic. I still get chills every time I watch it. I love all of her works as well as her, I’m glad she survived and seems to be doing better now. Animal 4life 💛💜
